If you're thinking about starting a set of braces for your children and beware- We paid in full for our children to have braces. The orthodo Department Have too many inconsistencies in their scheduling of ortho doctors to accommodate the area .. They do not accommodate emergency visits at different locations in an effort to ensure your children have the appointment schedules they need.. Oh and they frequently cancel appointments that are made in advance and confirmed The day of or even on the spot. That's not a front of the house problem it's a back of the house problem so by no means are we pointing fingers at the staffing or the schedulers period we have given grace to the fact that there is a shortage of orthodo Providers in the area we also have given grace inside of people having situational hiccups that disallow them to be at work. But we hope that this helps somebody to get an overview of our experience.. Because if it was Explained to us prior to the commitment we would not have Chosen this brand as a care provider .. We also considered VCU in Richmond they are phenomenal But weren't sure that we would want to make the drive, But now we resigned to the idea, we should have... Oh and just for a little more seasoning On this dish that I'm serving..... If you guys are about to say hi Dorinda I'm sorry for your bad experience and for me to call a 1 800 number... Hold the dressing - People should be aware that when you are trying to call and get a hold of somebody at the specific location of interest you will be looped and looped and looped into a matrix that you will never exit. It is impossible to speak directly to somebody that you need to talk to at the location they will route you to a Filipino call center And pretend like oh they're not answering when the operative tries the location directly.. This is a frustrating and exhaustible process. And I will not be calling a 1800 number after yall apologize about our Less than par experiences... If can make an impact on just one person then my purpose is served.. Eatdat.

I loved my experience last Friday. I took my middle child to the location on East Little Creek and everybody was so nice. The best part is that , after a few non pleasant visits to other locations , I was able to feel confident and trust the professionals. The information they gave me was very good and gave me peace of mind. They took the time to answer all my questions and now I feel so good I can start my sons’s treatment well informed and with no concerns.

Well-suited for children patients. Not used to open concept treatment (hygiene) area. Was a bit uncomfortable as there were no curtains or barriers separating view of other patients. Hygienist was good but easily distracted by others and operated equipment a little hazardly in my mouth. Front desk, X-ray examiner and dentist was absolutely amazing, gentle and made me comfortable. I am grateful for them.

I am disappointed in the service I received at Spencer Dental. On my original visit, they were quick to want to pull a tooth instead of performing a root canal. They told me since there was a crown, they couldn't do it and referred me to a clinic in virginia Beach, an hour away. When I called the clinic, they were closed for the week and to call on Monday. That Monday, the Norfolk Spencer Dental called and said they had an appointment open for Tuesday to perform the root canal, I said great. I arrived 10 min early and waited 30 min to be seen. I was told they couldn't perform the root canal because of the crown and was referred to the clinic in Virginia Beach. So it was a waste of time and gas. I have had root canals done before with a tooth that had a crown and never had to be referred. I have subsequently found another dentist in order to get the help I need. This is the first time I have been on medicaid and I have to say, if this is how people are treated who don't have normal Dental Insurance this is sad. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

They should give the option of having NO stars selected. Not only did this place call like they were bill collectors to CONFIRM an appointment that I had already confirmed, the link that they send does NOT work. My daughter’s appointment was at 8 am. Once at the location, the VERY rude lady at the front desk says “what’s your child’s name?”… no Good Morning, no NOTHING. After I had to repeat the information multiple times, she says, that appointment was cancelled. No call, no nothing, just arriving at an appointment that they basically harassed me about just not to do the same thing for a cancellation first thing in the morning. After going back and forth with her about how I never received any call or email, she simply said have a seat until your next appointment (which was an hour and a half wait) and I’ll send the paperwork to your phone. The company should really take a look at who they have representing their company when people come in for services. We all made a conscious decision to apply for the positions that we are in. Stop allowing your employees to represent your company in a bad way. I will NEVER take my child back to ANY location associated with this company.
