LWSS Family Dentistry - Norfolk

LWSS as a wonderful practice! I go to the office on Little Creek Road. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by receptionists who are professional and kind. I mentioned both because in the midst of being professional, they treat you like you a member of the family. The dental hygienist(s) (I hope I’m using the correct terminology.) and the dentists are the same way. They are knowledgeable, friendly, gentle, and they make you feel comfortable when you sit in the chair. I don’t know much about the other LWSS offices, but I would recommend the practice on Little Creek Rd. to anyone looking for a good dental office.

This is a wonderful friendly office. The best tech I have experience with my mother is Ms. Roslyn. She was there to help coach her in getting her denture scan done and being great at her job due to moms condition. The staff and doctors are great too.

Dentist didn't listen to my concerns. In fact starting testing on the incorrect tooth. I told her my symptoms but she quickly made an assessment. Gave me Motrin and an antibiotic. Told me to schedule an appointment with endo for further evaluation of tooth. Called endo next day and they gave me an appointment that afternoon. But after the Endodontis reviewed my symptoms they called me back and said I needed to go to ER (mind you, these are the same symptoms I told my Dentist and her assistant). I called my Dentist for her to give me clarity of why this was not said from her the day before. She never called me back, so I called again. The person I talked to says the antibiotics the dentist prescribed takes 7 to 10 days to take full effect (which was never told to be or I would have waited to schedule my endo appointment) my biggest question is, if endo wanted me to go to er before being seen because of concerns with some of my symptoms, what would the 7 to 10 days have looked like if I waited. When I called my dentist a second time since she never called back to ask (she never got on phone again) the person i talked to said, after putting me on hold to talk to the dentist, yes if you are having trouble with swallowing you need to go to the ER (I told them of this symptom several times at my appointment the day before). I understand many of us are just a number to you and you want to see as many people as you can within a small time frame, but please in the future stop and listen to the patient, communicate ensuring they are told and understand what your corrective actions are. This could all have been prevented and I could have been one day closer to recovery.

I'm usually a bag of nerves when it comes down to dentistry but this was one of my best visits. The young lady who cleaned my teeth was gentle enough that I felt comfortable the entire time. And she was very friendly. Love the atmosphere of this office. Everyone was courteous and attentive. Very professional. I think that's great!

I've been coming to this practice for over 20 years. The staff is extremely friendly & helpful. They will schedule both of your cleaning visits for the next year before you leave the office. And they have early appointments beginning at 730 am!!
