A nationwide resource created to help families across the U.S. find orthodontic care by insurance coverage and location.
When searching for an orthodontist, there was no straightforward way to filter practices by insurance acceptance. Families needed to call individual offices or visit multiple websites just to find out if a practice accepted their coverage.
Across thousands of cities and towns nationwide, this process took hours and often required keeping notes across phone calls and browser tabs — with no guarantee of complete information.
Using our technical background, we built a nationwide directory that allows families to search for orthodontists by insurance type, location, and treatment offerings.
The platform aggregates practice information, credentials, accepted insurance plans, and patient reviews in one place — for every state.
Practices listed on National Orthodontics are verified as board-certified orthodontists with current AAO membership.
This resource exists to serve families across the country and the orthodontic professionals who provide care in every community. We maintain accurate practice information and present credentials objectively.
National Orthodontic Registry is not a ranking site or marketing platform. We provide factual information to help patients make informed decisions about orthodontic treatment, wherever they live.

Our editorial process, data sources, and verification standards — so you know exactly where the information on this site comes from.
Every practice in the registry is cross-referenced against the NPPES NPI Registry — the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' official database of healthcare providers.
We confirm that listed orthodontists hold a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) and that their taxonomy code indicates a specialty in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Practices displaying a Verified badge have had their NPI number confirmed against the federal NPPES database.
National Orthodontic Registry is an independent directory. We do not accept payment to rank, feature, or remove practices. Listings are presented based on data completeness and verification status.
Cost and treatment guide content is reviewed for accuracy against published clinical literature and professional association guidelines (AAO, ADA).
If you find an error, outdated information, or believe a listing is inaccurate, contact us and we will review it within 48 hours.
We query the NPPES federal database to confirm the provider holds a valid NPI number with an orthodontic specialty taxonomy code.
We verify active licensure with the applicable state dental licensing board to confirm the provider is in good standing.
We confirm address, phone, and practice name match across NPPES, Google, and state records before publishing a listing.
Listings are refreshed periodically. Practices can claim their profile to update insurance, services, and photos at any time.
We work to maintain accurate practice information. If you find outdated details or have questions about listed practices, reach out to us.
Orthodontists who wish to update their practice information can contact us directly to ensure credentials, insurance acceptance, and treatment offerings are current.
