I’ve been a patient at this office for about three years now, and after that amount of time you get a pretty good sense of the people who truly care. I want to specifically recognize both Ginas on this team. Gina, the Patient Care Coordinator, has helped me through several situations over the years where things didn’t go as smoothly as they should have. As someone who has worked in and managed businesses myself, I understand that not every problem is created by the person standing in front of you. What I appreciate about Gina is that she never seems to stop trying. Even when solutions aren’t obvious, she consistently makes an effort to help, follow up, advocate, and smooth things over. Sometimes quietly, but always professionally. Then there’s Gina the hygienist. If she had been my hygienist when I was a child, I probably would have loved going to the dentist. She has a way of making appointments feel comfortable and human instead of clinical and awkward. She’s genuinely enjoyable to talk with, and she treats patients like people rather than numbers on a schedule. On more than one occasion, I’ve seen her go out of her way to make sure my care was completed properly and that I didn’t leave feeling overlooked. The reason I’m writing this review is because these two women have consistently earned it. That said, I would be doing everyone a disservice if I didn’t mention the larger issue I continue to observe. There are times when scheduling and operational decisions seem to prioritize volume over patient experience. Long waits and overbooking create frustration that the front-office staff and clinical team ultimately have to absorb from patients. In my opinion, the people working directly with patients deserve better support from leadership. My five stars are for the staff members who show up every day and do their best despite those challenges. The Ginas have kept me coming back. Thank you both for caring enough to make a difference.

I came in for a cleaning and x-rays, 6-12-26. There was minimal wait time. The whole staff from beginning to end were amazing. Like many people, I get bad anxiety visiting the dentist. Vicky and the dentist herself made me feel comfortable. Everything was explained to me in detail and I was able to ask as many questions as I needed. The PCC (didn’t catch her name) was great too. She took her time going over my insurance, and answer all of my questions (I ask a lot of questions). Other places would just rush you out the door. Not here, you really get the sense that they truly care for their patients. I’ve been coming to this location for years and today was the best experience so far. Thank you for taking the time to make me feel at ease!

Dr Garza and Vickey Soledad were great. They both made me feel comfortable and relaxed. This is one of the best dentist visit I had in a long time. Dentist visit are not the best but they made me feel happy to have chosen to see them. Thank you

As I walked in for my appointment I was greeted with warm smiles by Gina the PCC and Blanca the receptionist even though I was 5 minutes late they didn’t hesitate to seat me and wait for my cleaning and where very cooperative with me. As for my cleaning with Gina the Hygienist it was smooth sailing and had no complaints she made sure everything was set up properly and I was comfortable. Me personally I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a new dentist or just a change.

I had a great experience at Western Dental (Downtown Bakersfield). Dr. Garza and Vickey were very helpful. I really appreciate the care and attention they both provided!
