At my first new patient appointment, I was told I would be seen for the pain in my mouth. I arrived at 10:00 AM, which I was told was within the timeframe to complete an exam. I waited over an hour just to be seen, and the only thing that was done was X-rays. I was then informed by the receptionist that they were closing for lunch and that the doctor could no longer see me because it was past the time they typically see patients for exams. Nearly two hours had passed, and suddenly I was no longer able to be seen for the exam I was scheduled for. I scheduled another appointment and experienced another excessively long wait. I was brought to the back and left waiting for an additional 30 minutes until the doctor finally remembered I was there. I ended up needing a tooth removed and was told my medications would be sent to the pharmacy. When I arrived at the pharmacy, they informed me that Western Dental never sent anything over. It is now the second day after my surgery, and I have been unable to reach the office by phone. I’ve spent a total of about 1.5 hours on hold, while the automated system repeatedly says the wait time is “less than 30 minutes,” which is not accurate. I strongly recommend going to a different dental office. There are better options nearby that respect patients’ time and provide more reliable care They told me to reach out via Google reviews-apparently the only place they respond-since no one ever answers the office phone. Thanks for nothing

Dr. Hothi did an outstanding job with my implant. I am tremendously pleased about the outcome. The result was perfect and I hope to be able to have her do additional implants if the future. The front office assistant, Copixie, was also amazing. During the time that I was there the office was short staffed and she did exceptional work managing so many patients with a skeletal staff. I would recommend Dr.Hothi and Copixie to anyone in need of quality professional dental care.

I came in for a cleaning of my teeth and the staff there were genuinely really kind and helpful. The nurse assistant Copixie was definitely the most helpful with getting braces. She have us great plans on how to move forward. I’m happy I’m able to get so much work on my teeth soon.

Well, Western dental has nothing has been nothing but nice and caring for me and the last couple of years I have been back-and-forth to get my teeth cleaned. I have been. I had gotten a Ruca now years ago and I always love coming back to this location downtown Oakland, they’re very nice. They take care of you. They’re loving And the women at the front desk are so amazing. Like Copixie she helps you if you get there 15 minutes before your appointment she helps you get right in and sign all the paper that you need to sign & IZA very very helpful and I welcome you with a smile on her face so you know they’re gonna take care of & Evelyn she will be ready for you to book your next appointment. She’s very nice and they’re all nice and I appreciate all of you.

Why bother having the insurance if you can't get dental service (cleaning and exam) when needed. After having an appointment scheduled for months I'm told they're under staffed and I'd have to wait a couple hours which really meant all day. Would have been nice if they had called me in advance and asked to reschedule instead of waiting until I'm there, having planned my day around this appointment.
