By far the best dental experience! The entire staff was polite and professional, and Dr. Yu, was incredible with her work on my routine cleaning. Very thorough and gentle. I travel for work so it’s nice to find places that make you feel like home. 10/10 stars!

I had a wonderful experience as a new patient at Oakland Downtown Dental. I was genuinely impressed by the level of care and attention throughout my visit. The cleaning was very thorough, and the exam was incredibly detailed—they even walked through gum recession on a tooth-by-tooth basis, which made me feel very informed and confident about my dental health. The entire experience felt both professional and personal. Little touches like validated parking and a handwritten note sent a few days after my appointment really stood out and made me feel cared for beyond just the visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for thoughtful, high-quality dental care!

Is it weird to love a dental practice? My husband and I love Downtown Oakland! They’ve taken such good care of us not just through cleaning but invisalign, chipped teeth, etc.! And the people who work there are cheerful and relaxed. In fact, we have never been there when someone was not laughing….

I had a wonderful experience at Downtown Oakland Dental. My now former dentist had left me hanging with a broken crown because they did not have the proper tools and the updated technology to fix my crown and were essentially just going to leave my tooth to break. Thank God for Downtown Oakland Dental. They got me in last minute, same day, and my dentist spent like 45 minutes preparing my tooth and fashioning me a perfect and amazing temporary crown that I've still had for over a month for a patient who was brand new to them. I was really amazed by just how professional they were and how quickly they were able to get me in. I felt like she genuinely cared about me and she's clearly a very skilled dentist because what they did to get my crown placed on a pretty short tooth was technically difficult. The temporary crown has been awesome. I'm starting to wonder if I even am going to end up needing a formal crown lengthening but we'll have to talk about that at my next appointment. I'm really excited to work with the Downtown Oakland dentist team. I'm definitely going to be switching my care over and I'm really excited to be in the hands of such an amazing dentist who genuinely seems to care. They really didn't have to get me in that quickly but they managed to and I was really happy that they put my needs, the patient's needs, first.

I came in for a routine teeth cleaning & was concerned that the ultrasound scaler will aggravate some teeth that are sensitive my dental hygienist was very understanding & added stuff around my jaw to lessen the sensitivity & had no issues whatsoever concerning the sensitivity issues. I had a little bit of an issue with the left lower molar that was taken care of with on contact antibiotics with instructions on aftercare for the following week. Dr Fong usually is not on staff on Fridays he looked in after the cleaning was done . This whole experience I can say was a pleasant one. BTW…the dental hygienist name is Silin; She’s a “Keeper”!
