Nova Dental

I’ve visited Nova Dental in Newark for about 4 years consistently getting my teeth cleaned twice a year. At my most recent appointment, scheduled for 9:00 AM (the first appointment of the day), after arriving at 9:02, I was still waiting at 9:14 to be called back and had to ask the front desk when I would be called, only to be told the doctor had not arrived yet. I was finally brought back at 9:21, but there was confusion about which room I would be placed in because another patient was already there. During this, I overheard a hygienist say, “she’s only getting a cleaning,” which felt dismissive. While waiting in the chair, another hygienist entered and removed tools from my setup to use on a different patient next door. I then sat waiting until 9:45 (24 minutes in the chair) without anyone acknowledging me or beginning my cleaning. After more than 40 minutes past my appointment time with no communication or service provided, I decided to leave and cancel the appointment. The receptionist even asked me if I needed to schedule my next appointment (as cleanings are done every 6 months) as she thought the service was complete for how long I was sitting back there. I responded “no one came in, nothing happened.” This was not the first time I experienced significant delays here, but it will be my last. A 9:00 AM appointment should not still be waiting to be seen nearly an hour later, especially without communication or consideration for the patient. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of professionalism and respect for patients’ time. I am now currently looking for my new dental home in Newark.

Fast & dedicated care without being rushed or dismissed. I have always been nervous about going to the dentist. The front desk staff members were pleasant, patient and kind with me as I enrolled and sorted out my insurance. My dental assistant was excellent, and my dentist was very informative and compassionate. They did not rush me, answered all my questions and were overall the exact kind of practice I was looking for.

As this was my very 1st time here.... Im Absolutely pleased with all services at this Nova location... I was able to be seen right away and get the help I needed right away... from scheduling to my appointment day went extremely well... from Front office to the Assistants I felt very well taken care of and I appreciate everyone here!!! I would definitely recommend this office. I am happy I found MY dentist.. she is so kind and patient and dont shame people for whats going on with their mouths she just helps and comes up with the best plan to help have a healthy smile and teeth.

Today I met my dentist, who made me feel extremely comfortable. She informed me of each step ahead of time. Wonderful experience - 5 stars! The office manager is a delight, consistently going above and beyond to assist in any situation. The office staff is equally helpful. I highly recommend Nova Dental in Newark, NJ. 🧡 1/27/2026

Had an amazing experience! The staff was professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Really happy with my visit! The staff was super friendly, the service was smooth, and I left feeling great. Highly recommend this dentist!
