Great Expressions Dental Centers - Riverside

Editing to update this review since I get endless requests to review this location via email and text: The location is good until you need work done. Have had issues with this location’s billing and my insurance after having treatment in February and March. Thankfully I have access to health advocates who completed the appeals process, though I’m not totally a fan of how the practice handles billing, especially when there’s a denial/appeal involved. I would trust that the practice handles insurance billing appropriately and sent in pertinent information, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I then had to pay for the denied service and was told if I didn’t pay it, they’d send it to collections - this is all while having to handle the appeals process myself. They did provide the appropriate information and the denied claim was ultimately paid, though I don’t feel the patient should be threatened with collections while having to handle the denied claim on their own. I’m now having to wait for my “account to settle” before receiving a refund for the now paid claim. Not totally their fault and they’ve been professional during the process, though I feel like a corporate entity could have better billing practices to ensure this doesn’t happen on the front end and do better with refunding the patient once the claim has been paid. I can only imagine how long it’ll take to get the refund given this lengthy process (it’s currently still ongoing for additional treatment dates). I’ve never had any issues like this with any other dental practice. Old review: Really great experience at Riverside Great Expressions. A friend referred me here after I started having scheduling issues with my previous dentist and I’m glad I made the change to Riverside Great Expressions. I always refer them to people looking for a new office. Everyone in the office is amazing and I’m always happy with the service I receive.

Great customer service from the front desk to my hygienist. She always make you feel comfortable while getting your cleaning. She does a great job and my teeth looks so good after getting my treatments with her ( Sonya). Keep up the great work staff.

If I could put no stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL LEAVE IN TEARS! The staff was exceptionally rude. With already waiting 45 minutes after my wife's original appointment time, she was met with unfriendly demeanor. The person (Allison, Ally?) that took her back and took her to get checked out was terrible to her. Allison would not give the patient a phone number for an oral surgeon, she kept trying to explain that isn't what the doctor ordered, but that wasn't what the patient was asking for. All she wanted was a number. And staff refused to give the number. The patient and doctor had already had a conversation about calling an oral surgeon, the care plan was for her to get the tooth pulled OR a root canal. She would need a surgeon OR Endodontics. Allison knew nothing of this care plan, insisted she new better than the patient and REFUSED to give her a phone number. So to her the phone number was meaningless, but to the patient a simple miscommunication was blown out of proportion. This person made her feel stupid. She also refused to give her a copy of paperwork stating "I'm going to print it out" in a snarky away. Gabby the manager was disrespectful when I called and very dismissive about the situation. She consistently claimed her staff did no wrong. No apology without her saying "but..." and I could hear a snarky smile as she talked to me as if she was laughing about the situation. That business should not be run by her or at all. I am so so so upset. This situation was unacceptable.

First visit to Great Expressions Dental Center in Riverside because I had a crown from a previous dentist years ago come off. Dr. Amoff quickly assessed the situation and told me that there was nothing that she could do with the tooth in question due to decay. She also advised I had two more crowns in danger of coming off because of cavities under them. They were able to fix those cavities quickly and order crowns right away. Dr. Amoff worked quickly and professionally with zero pain. Check-in was quick and easy and I found the front desk staff to be pleasant. But the real star ⭐️ for me was the tech, Alexis, who was amazing throughout my visit. I’m hearing impaired and when I told this and showed her my hearing aids she made it a point to look at me when she spoke whenever possible and pull down her mask while speaking slowly and clearly. Alexis explained everything she was doing before she did it and her kindness and accommodations for my hearing loss was awesome. Rare and appreciated in today’s world. Thank you Alexis and Dr. Amoff see you soon for Crown installation.

The front desk was attentive, smiled during interaction and was engaging. My wait was short. I immediately had my X-rays completed and the dentist came in shortly thereafter. I believe she was very thorough and explained all of the procedures she recommended. I was given a cost breakdown and payment options were reviewed. Great first impression. Not excited to need dental work, however confident in the staff performing it
