Thank you to Dr. Ail Shambyati, hygienist Mira Dibra, dental assistant Cleo, and manager Roselyn for the excellent care. They were all very professional, kind, and attentive. I really appreciate them getting my father seen the same day and taking care of his emergency extraction so quickly. The whole team made a stressful situation much easier, and we are very grateful for their help and compassion. Highly recommend this office!

I have been to a lot of dentists and Jefferson on 8th Ave is by far one of the best dental offices I’ve been to. Dr. Shambayati truly cares about his patients' best interests. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. I had to have a couple teeth extracted this past Thursday. Dr. Shambayati and the wonderful Dental Assistant, Mira, made the procedure so much more comfortable and swift. I cannot rave enough about how I’d come back to this office even if my insurance didn’t cover it. Truly, the staff are gems and the atmosphere is friendly and hospitable.

I would not recommend the 8th Avenue office. I brought my daughter in for a routine cleaning for the first time after switching insurance, and the experience was very concerning. The office felt unclean, and the X-rays were uncomfortable due to what seemed like inexperience. We were also pressured into unnecessary procedures, and when we declined, standard care was withheld. Dr. Ali Shambayati reviewed my daughter’s X-rays and, despite her having no cavities, recommended a surgical gum procedure. I immediately declined that recommendation. The hygienist, Mira Dibra, also advised a deep cleaning that would require cutting her braces wires, something that had never been suggested by her regular dentist or orthodontist. When I declined these recommendations, Mira became rude, pushy, and judgmental, and ultimately refused to perform a standard cleaning. We left after over an hour with only X-rays completed. Two days later her orthodontist confirmed these recommendations were unnecessary. My daughter’s previous dental office was able to perform a routine cleaning around her wires without any issues. The whole experience at Jefferson Dental felt like pressure to accept costly, unwarranted procedures. In addition to aggressive upselling of unnecessary procedures, there was clear refusal of basic care. Based on our experience and the several other reviews by patients who had similar experiences, it’s my opinion that there’s a pattern of unethical behavior from the providers at this office. These concerns will be reported to TSBDE. **Response** While I appreciate the offer, there really isn’t a way to make this experience right. As previously stated, this office denied a patient basic care without cause. Subsequently, she received this routine care elsewhere. I want to warn people to use caution before coming here for any dental care.

I've had nothing but satisfactory visits to Jefferson Dental. The whole staff is always friendly and extremely helpful whenever I have a question for them. I highly recommend going to them if you are looking for wonderful dental work with great customer service as well.

Came to get my normal yearly cleaning and Higiniest Mira Dibra and Doctor Ali shambatati did a very good job checking for any cavities and gum pockets. I ended up having some mild gum pockets and Mira did an excellent job. Very gentle work throughout the session and very good at explaining what she was doing and what I needed to do to get those pockets in better shape. I’m very pleased with her work.
