BLVD Dentistry & Orthodontics of 5th Street

When I moved to Austin I found a wonderful old school dentist in the early 80s - Bobby Arnold. He had a modest practice on the east side and my family of 5 enjoyed his careful and informed choice style of dentistry for decades. When he retired I was lost. I quickly realized the overall art of dentistry had changed drastically, with many new technologies and new focus. It also became very clear that the dental hygienist is the heart of a dentist's office. I tried several different offices through the years and became very discouraged. Just having my teeth cleaned was often torture. Until I found LouAnn @ BLVD @ 5th street. She is extraordinary. She calls me her "star patient." I look forward to her gentle, thorough, and personal care. The office just changed dentists and I have had no experience with the new DDS, so the jury's still out, but I would use BLVD just to have my teeth cleaned by LouAnn. She will lower your blood pressure and change the way you feel about going to the dentist.

I have been a patient at BLVD for the past five years and have never had any complaints about the service or the staff. However, this time I feel the need to especially highlight the incredibly gentle, attentive, and thorough care I received from KATIE!!. This was the first time I truly felt treated with exceptional care and unmatched delicacy during a dental cleaning. I am sincerely grateful to Katie for making the experience completely painless and for sending me home with perfectly clean teeth. Thank you for such an outstanding experience!!!

My appointment started on time and the cleaning was performed very quickly. It’s a nice facility and everyone is friendly. Three stars only because every time I go there there’s this hard sale for various products and services that makes me feel like I’m in a used car dealership.

Always enjoy my experience at BLVD dentist. Katie did a great job with my cleaning today, proactively explaining everything she was doing so I was comfortable. I was in and out in 40 minutes, never have to wait to long after checking in. The front desk is very friendly and offices are clean! Would recommend!!

i’ve been a patient of Dr. Andrew Cummings at w5th st. Blvd Dentist for over 5 years, so when he moved and Dr. Bright took over the practice, i was nervous about the change—having had 2 appointments with Dr. Bright now, i can say with absolute confidence she and her staff are excellent! i am an anxious dental patient (shout out to Richelle as the best hygienist and most gentle and accommodating - ask for Richelle as your hygienist if you have sensitive teeth or are sensitive to sound/medical procedures); Dr. Bright made me comfortable and at ease and is so friendly, bubbly and kind. she fixed a chipped tooth with patient precision and it looks very natural. she made sure to continually check in that i was doing ok and if i wanted to change any part of the repair. i highly recommend Dr. Bright and Richelle at west 5th st Blvd Dentist!
