Orthodontists Associates of Western New York

I recently brought my daughter to Dr. Hietanen for an orthodontic evaluation. Unfortunately, our experience left us disappointed. The office felt very busy and rushed. What was most frustrating was what happened after we received the insurance denial. When we left the office, we were told to call if we received a denial and that the office would help walk us through the process. However, when I called after receiving the denial, I was told that the office could not assist with documentation or the appeal and that they only become involved if a peer review is requested. I even explained what we had previously been told, but was informed that this was confirmed by management. As a parent, I expected more support when trying to obtain medically necessary treatment for my child. Being told that my 12-year-old daughter should write a letter herself, while receiving no assistance from the office with supporting documentation, was disappointing. Because of this experience, we will be seeking a second opinion and looking for an orthodontist who is willing to spend more time with patients and provide support throughout the insurance process.

Dr. Dusel and his team are amazing! The office staff is wonderful. I love Kim! They're informative, understanding, patient and kind. I've never had a problem. Never had to wait, walk in and be seen! After almost 7 years of treatment we're all done and my daughter has a million dollar smile!

We were referred to Dr. Dusels office. The atmosphere is so inviting, the staff is happy, efficient and everyone does an incredible job at educating the family in what is happening. I also appreciate how organized and efficient they are. The systems they use are fine tuned.

Unbelievably kind people who are willing to go the extra mile & more, to take care of you. Kathy and Jessica are AMAZING! Super nice, very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. They helped me coordinate a 3D I-cat scan for my surgeon who is out of country. The facilitation of this at any other office I believe would have been a headache but Kathy and Jessica made the entire process simple, straightforward and effortless which I greatly appreciate. I drove about 30 minutes out of my area just to go to this location.There's a reason why this particular office has 5 stars across the boards. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommended. Dr Dusel and his team of amazing people have made 2 of my childrens smiles beautiful. The staff is wonderful and so caring. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for caring work to be done.
