Celebrate Dental & Braces - Springfield

My son and I will be finding a new dentist office. They use to be great, not sure what happened but several times now I have nothing but problems. First off, Dr. Lee who is gone now from the practice did several of my crowns wrong because he was getting frustrated with the assistants. I am now going to have to have them redone by another dentist and of course insurance won't pay due to them being recent crowns. He messed up so many of my teeth and he was very rude to me as well as his assistant. I also went in the other day for me and my sons 6 month checkups and was told by the girl up front I owe 25.00 a peice. I politely told her no these are paid at 100 percent preventative. Very rudely stated back to me " I know what I am doing". I told her I also know my benefits. The nice man behind the counter stepped in and offered to verify with my insurance and told me to wait. 30 min later nobody said anything to us we got up and left as we had other appts after. This was not the only time they were rude I had to talk to an office manager before about the rude staff. I also did my own and verified with my insurance that I owe nothing. They are constantly messing up the insurance stuff. The only good thing at that practice is the pediatric dentist. However with how much we have to deal with the staff, it's not worth it. We won't be back.

I'm only giving them two stars because of how nice and polite the dentists have always been to me and my husband but if I could give zero for the front desk people I would. They are always just a little too unprofessional in my opinion when I visit this location from saying patients' private info out loud ( HIPAA violation ) to seemingly trying to embarrass people when/if their insurance doesn't go through. I also witnessed a staff member bring a dental instrument to the dentist with her bare hands like It's okay to hold medical equipment that goes in people's mouths/bodies without gloves. It's very ridiculous actually how they have these jobs but aren't very good at them. Because of an incident that just happened to me at this location, Celebrate Dental will be losing not one but three patients because of their poorly trained staff. Please do better guys!!

I had an appointment scheduled a couple of weeks ago and when I arrived the receptionist stated that they would not be able to see me because my insurance was showing inactive. That didn’t sound accurate to me so I called my insurance company before I even left the office and they transferred me through several departments all of which stated that my insurance IS active and there should be no reason why I shouldn’t be able to be seen by my dentist and have my appointment covered by insurance. I went back up to the front desk at celebrate dental and she stated that she would pass the information off to another department and have them look into it. My insurance company provided me with a direct line that celebrate dental could call to verify my insurance over the phone. The receptionist wrote down the number and stated that someone would get back to me the next morning. End of day came the next day and still no contact from Celebrate dental. I called them and they said they would need a few more days to “get around to it”. Nearly 2 weeks passed and I still had no answers from celebrate so I called them yet again and they said that they simply do not have time in their day to call my insurance to verify with them over the phone. I work in healthcare myself and understand that dealing with insurance is not a highlight of the day but it is absolutely necessary in providing good patient care. Out of curiosity I called the direct line provided by insurance for celebrate to call and I got through to them in less than 5 minutes. I feel absolutely neglected by celebrate dental. They have certainly lost the business of myself, my husband, and my 3 kids. All who have been seen every 6 months. All because they we’re simply too lazy to advocate on my behalf.

Please hire more staff on the surgery team (they take days to respond IF they call back) because seem to be really behind. I had to call 3 times to BOOK my appointment after waiting weeks for a call to schedule. My appointment was of course booked over a month out. I needed a Saturday appointment and apparently the surgeon likes to fill Fridays before booking Saturday (cool). I received this message on APRIL 21st “ Morning! I just got your message and I’ll be at work in a few hours and give ya call! Shouldn’t be a problem scheduling you for a Saturday!” Never got a call. When I texted to confirm my appointment on MAY 7th: “ Hello, this is Hollie Smith just wanted to confirm if my appointment was able to be moved to Saturday 5/23?” I get this response: “ Hey hollie unfortunately I no longer work for celebrate ! So sorry! But you can ask for Ivan at the Springfield office , I hope you get it all figured out!” Spoiler alert: Ivan is unavailable but they’ll leave him a message to call me back! I call again and the surgery team is unavailable. I get an email LAST WEEK with intake paperwork and a voicemail saying if I don’t fill it out my appointment will be cancelled. I fill it out same day and call to request my out of pocket cost and confirm when exactly my appointment is and am told the surgery team is you guessed it: unavailable?!😭 I filled out intake paperwork and am still waiting on appointment confirmation. It’s now too late for my husband to request off of work for my appointment but they assure me they will get with me on Monday once the surgery team is working again (which they won’t and it won’t matter bc it’s again too late for my husband to request off). I’ve been in pain for over a month now waiting for this appointment.

Just had all my wisdom teeth pulled. Every staff member I have came in interaction with here has been so kind and so patient. They all are exceptionally kind here and so intelligent. The way they take care of their patients I’m so grateful to be a patient here. Especially Karen here. She has such a kind presence. I look forward to having more work done here.
