I’m so happy for the opportunity to give this review, so much so, that I can’t even find the kindest words to describe my awesome experience at Dr. Markovitz’s office. I was treated with respect, and appreciation for bringing them business. Dr. Markovitz takes the time to talk with me, but not only about the services they provided. The atmosphere is always so tranquil because the entire staff makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. I never had to wait long to be seen. They explain everything before, during and after treatment(s). They follow up by checking in with an email, text and a phone call if necessary. The service that they provide at Dr. Markovitz office at Parkville is just SUPERB!!

This office is the best of them all I recommend any and everyone. They are like family here and you’ll loved to be serviced by Dr. Markovitz and his beautiful caring assistants. The picture is my end result where I had crowding a double tooth and my front teeth were crooked.

I am disappointed with the service I have received from Dr. Markovitz. This review in no way reflects any of the orthodontic assistants whom work for him. The ladies are great, especially Lauren and Ms. Jackie. This review is only the beginning of what I have to say regarding the care and treatment I have received. They send texts begging you to do the Google reviews so here’s a real Google review for you. On August 15, 2024 I got into the downtown location, to get my braces taken off as they have informed me my retainers are in and that my teeth look good for the braces to come off. The doctor takes my braces off, the retainers are handed to me and I attempt to put them in my mouth…. Surprise they do not fit. The doctor comes back over he attempts to make them fit, only for him to say “those aren’t your teeth” but my name was on the box ? They did a rescan and re ordered new retainers, did I mention they told me it’ll be okay your spacing won’t come back… and if it does the retainers will push them back together. We’ll call you when the retainers are in. Side note… at this point I was 9 months pregnant 40 weeks, could go into labor at any point. Well before the day was over my spacing had returned, within that week my gap was back to how it was before the braces. Tell me how will plastic move teeth back if it took metal 2 years to do so? After a week I called, asking where are my retainers and that my spacing has returned. This was August 27th almost 2 weeks after the initial removal of my braces. Not to mention I had to call them and ask! Just for someone to go look and tell them they had come in. I called at 4:30 on August 26th, finally I’m handed over to the office manager Nicole to further express my frustration. She says well can you come right now to pick them up? Nicole your office is in pikesville, I live in Columbia and you close in 30 mins the 695 traffic is not gonna allow for me to be there in time. I tell them I will be there the next day at 9:30 in their downtown location to pick up my retainers. Keep in mind I’m still very much pregnant, past due date pregnant, yet I’m accommodating them and their screw up. August 27th I picked my retainers up, I’ve been wearing them for a week: (even during labor. ) and my spacing has not closed to my satisfaction as the pictures they took the day they took my braces off. I call today Sept 9, marking the one week to let them know I am unsatisfied, I am met with no assistance by the receptionist. Nicole isn’t here “I can’t squeeze you in”. $6,000 and 3 years later and you can’t squeeze me in for a mess up on your offices end. Not to mention I now have a newborn, so it’s not easy to get up and go, it takes a village and I don’t have a village just my husband and I. So I have to work around his schedule for my appointment. You would think they would have compassion and be apologetic but obviously not. So now I have to take matters into my own hands, MY INSURANCE AND I PAID FOR A SERVICE I DID NOT RECEIVE… sounds like FRAUD TO ME. I want to know what Dr. Markovitz is going to do to make this right before it escalates further

First of let me say Dr. Markovitz’s practice is absolutely the BEST! Dr. Markovitz’s is extremely friendly, caring and supportive of his patients and overall care! I do however, want to give a special shout/thanks to Ms. Jackie. Ms. Jackie is also very patient, and caring. She keeps you updated on your progress and next steps. She is always positive and smiling! This is one place that I will not miss an appointment because going to this practice is like visiting family. It feels so warm and welcoming each and every time. I’ve been going for a little over a year and almost done with my treatment. AKA braces lol! For the last year Ms. Jackie has been the assistant that I personally wait for each visit. She makes any adjustment and fixes issues I may come across within her limits. Thank you so much Ms. Jackie. Can’t wait to see you guys in 4 weeks! Xoxox Shavawn
