Dentists in Brickell - HQ Dontics Dental Centre

I had a routine cleaning with HQ Dontics. The team was great! Very efficient, but still a good cleaning. The hygienist and dentist helped me create a dental plan.

Switched here from my previous dentist and am so glad I did. The staff is friendly, Dr. Quintero is so knowledgeable and polite and explains everything to you. My hygienist was thorough and easy to talk to. Pricing is more than reasonable. 10/10 will definitely be my forever dentist!

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Hernan Quintero and HQDontics Dental Centre involving communication, treatment planning, billing, and my requests concerning the appearance of my restorations. I began treatment in October 2024. I was presented with a treatment plan totaling $49,712 and ultimately paid the practice $23,704. The treatment I received included a dental cleaning, extraction of three lower teeth, cavity treatment and fillings, preparation of my front teeth, and a provisional bridge for four front teeth. Before agreeing to proceed, I repeatedly explained that I needed to see and approve the proposed shape, color, and overall appearance of any crowns or restorations before they were placed. Dr. Quintero agreed to involve me in this process. However, before my front teeth were prepared and the provisional bridge was installed, I was never shown a 3D model, mock-up, photographs, or another meaningful preview of the proposed result. At a later appointment, which I understood would involve treating additional cavities, I was told that individual crowns would instead be installed. I still had not been shown or consulted about their design. The individual crowns were not placed, and my provisional bridge was reinstalled after Dr. Quintero stated that he did not like the crowns that had been prepared. I also discovered that the original treatment documents included four extractions, although only three teeth were ultimately extracted. This contributed to my concerns about the accuracy and transparency of the treatment plan and billing. Because I no longer felt comfortable continuing treatment, I clearly canceled the remaining treatment by telephone in January and February 2025 and again in writing by email on March 3, 2025. I requested an itemized accounting and a partial refund limited to services I had paid for but had not received. I did not request reimbursement for treatment that had already been performed. The office later sent me a certified letter inviting me to return for additional treatment, even though I had already declined further treatment there. I responded with my own certified letter, again confirming that I would not continue treatment and requesting a refund for the portion of the treatment that was paid for but not provided. That letter was returned to me without a recipient’s signature or confirmed delivery. Despite my repeated attempts to communicate, emails, and written correspondence, I did not receive a satisfactory itemized explanation or resolution. As of July 2026, more than a year after I clearly canceled treatment, I am still receiving messages from the office asking me to return. This review reflects my personal experience and the records, receipts, correspondence, and mailing documentation I retained. Based on the lack of communication, the failure to follow the agreed process for reviewing the restorations, and the unresolved billing concerns, I would not recommend this practice.

I was recommended to go here and was impressed. Maria Fernandez cleaned my teeth spotless and her and the team are helpful and friendly. I’ve only ever went to one other dentist in my life so this was a big milestone to live up to. Overall great experience and I will be back!

Great Dental office. Lily is very gentle when cleaning and the 3D X-rays give you great image of your teeth.very advanced and up to date equipment. Highly recommend!!
