The Modern Orthodontist

Ultimately, I ended my treatment at The Modern Orthodontist disappointed, and unfortunately my daughter and I will both be seeking care elsewhere. I completed Invisalign treatment and had paid for the package that included one final set of retainers at the end of treatment. After my initial trays, my orthodontist offered an additional refinement set because my teeth hadn't settled exactly as planned. At that time, it was known that I needed a crown, and my orthodontist advised me to finish my Invisalign treatment first if the crown could wait, then we would make a retainer to fit the new crown afterward. Unfortunately, there were delays getting the refinement trays made due to the office being short staffed, which prolonged my treatment. Eventually, I had to move forward with the crown and, following my dentist's instructions, trimmed the back tooth off my Invisalign aligner. When I later contacted The Modern Orthodontist to have my final Essix retainers made, I was initially quoted a $90 fee via text, which confused me because my contract included one final set of retainers. When I came into the office for my daughter's checkup, I was told that quote was incorrect but that it would be honored. The woman at the front desk, whose name I believe starts with an L, encouraged me to have the scan done that day and even offered to split the cost into three $30 payments because I had a history of making my payments on time. I told her I would rather come back in two weeks after payday and pay it in full. She told me she felt that was a bad decision because I had cut the back tooth off my aligner and teeth continue to erupt over time. At my appointment today (8/3/26), I was quoted entirely different prices again and was told they had no record of honoring the previous quote, even though it was the same employee who had told me that on 7/13/26. I was then told my retainers had already been made because my refinement Invisalign trays had been confused with my permanent Essix retainers. I left frustrated and without impressions taken for my retainers because the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing. The communication between staff was inconsistent from one interaction to the next, and I spent far too much time trying to resolve something that should have been straightforward. It's disappointing that this is how my treatment ended after being a loyal patient. My daughter and I will both be seeking care elsewhere, and I will now have to find another orthodontist to have my retainers made.

Really enjoyed getting my Invisalign here. Dr. Schnepper was really kind and understanding and anytime I had any concerns or worries they were addressed right away. My teeth had been a huge insecurity of mine for awhile and they got my teeth much straighter and my bite much more comfortable. The dental technicians are also always a pleasure to interact just as Dr. Schnepper is. I'd highly recommend coming here for orthodontics all the staff is super nice and I enjoyed all my visits

The doctors, and all of the staff are very friendly and so kind. They are very knowledgeable. They never push you into making a decision immediately. The office is very clean and welcoming. I would recommend this orthodontist to everyone.

I did extensive research before I chose The Modern Orthodontist for my Invisalign treatment, and I’m so glad I did. I came in with quite a few bite issues, crooked teeth, and other things, and I cannot believe how incredible the end result is. Everyone in the office is kind, professional, and really listens to you. I have a brand new smile that is beyond my wildest dreams. I am so grateful to Dr. Schnepper and the whole team for giving me many more reasons to smile.

I drive over an hour from The Gorge to receive treatment at the Modern Orthodontist. After consulting with and being treated by numerous Orthodontist offices, I am so thankful to have the remainder of our family’s orthodontic care completed here. Dr. Hill and Dr Schnepper are honest, trustworthy and highly knowledgeable. All the office staff are friendly and highly skilled. They’ve treated my daughter’s complicated orthodontic care and my adult orthodontic treatment with careful consideration and expertise. Orthodontic care can be confusing and is an expensive investment. It is so nice to be able to relax know we are being well taken care of. I am so thankful to be with this practice and this office.
