Born and raised in Tacoma, WA. Attended Stadium High School and University of Washington for undergraduate degree (BS in Biology). Earned dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Completed orthodontic residency program at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) earning Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Previously worked part-time in Oregon, eastern Washington, and northern Idaho before returning to hometown to work with Dr. Scott Drake and transition his practices in Gig Harbor and Tacoma.

I had a great time every appointment with Dr. Patra. She is very kind and makes me feel very comfortable. I have “medical anxiety” but not when I am there. All of the staff is great.

Dr. Patra and her staff are very friendly, patient, and seem to genuinely love what they do! My experiences in both the Tacoma and Gig Harbor offices were really efficient and enjoyable. I highly recommend Dr. Patra!

Dr. Patra and her staff are amazing! Her team has always been welcoming and supportive. Dr. Patra listens to your concerns and explains in detail what they are doing in each appointment to help your smile. I have gone through braces and Invisalign at Gig Harbor Orthodontics and would recommend this location for either one.
