Lehigh Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

We recently took our son to Lehigh OMS (Dr. Bender) to have his wisdom teeth extracted. They did a great job as usual! A few members of my family have been there for similar procedures. We won’t go anywhere else, as we’ve consistently had a positive experience with Dr. Bender and his staff. They explain everything in detail, are friendly/helpful, and make the entire process (from consult to post-surgery & claim submission) as simple as possible. I’d highly recommend their services.

The experience with this place was both positive and negative. They did a great job with removing my daughter’s wisdom teeth, and for that I’m grateful. The negative part is billing. They snuck in a $122 consultation fee weeks after her surgery. I already paid the entire bill that was given to me. The consultation fee was never on the original bill, and when asked what I owed the day of her consultation I was told nothing. Then I played a lovely game of phone tag with the billing receptionist at the office. In the end I just gave up and paid it. It’s an awful thing to do to someone, and I will never go back and do not recommend( I’d like to edit to say they have sent me an updated bill, and made it right, so I will change my stars to 4)

Dr. Bender and staff were amazing!. The procedure to pull all 4 wisdom teeth went well with no complications. Everyone from the front desk and beyond were wonderful, I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Thank you for taking such good care of my son. Oral surgeon Dr. Bender was great. He explained the procedure well and answered questions I had. He would get 5 stars. However, Carmen was my staff for recovery. She spent 5 minutes quickly talking about what to do for recovery in the first 5 minutes of me waking up. Then she spent the 30 minutes telling us about her life, health, lifestyle changes, and mixed in talking about food the entire time. I was starving from not eating, it was so rude. Coming out of being put to sleep and her non stop talking was very frustrating. Then when I started asking questions about my recovery at home she was snappy and rude. She was almost offended I had her stop talking about herself for two minutes. I thought maybe I’m just cranky, but my friend that was there, was also blown away at how Carmen behaved. I asked for a paper with the instructions written out. Carmen provided one and highlighted what she wanted me to do. Then when I called back in so much pain, she yelled at me that she told me to alternate the OTC meds. Yet it was highlighted to alter or take together. I didn’t want to call back for anything else after that. It was very terrible aftercare service. Carmen would get 0 stars.

It was great. Dr. Kori, Beth, Paige, Lechonne, and Jairus were super funny and sweet. They walked me through the whole process as we went. Made sure I was comfortable and calm. Carmen was with me through recovery and made sure I was feeling all right. I was given a blanket which was amazing. Overall great experience. I was given a thorough explanation on post op care and feel comfortable recovering.
