Precision, excellence, and availability. I was about to travel aboard along with my family in mid December 2025 but I needed a root canal procedure before the trip. Dr. Lu and his team took me in two days before my trip, did the procedure with great precision , care and compassion. I am please with the way the staff at this dental office took care of me from the front desk to Dr. Lu himself. To Sando and Maria, I say thank you for making my visit at Downtown dental office very welcoming. And if you are looking for a Dentist in the greater Cleveland area, I will highly recommend Dr. Lu and his team.

From the moment I called in, I knew I made the right choice. Everything about Downtown Dental Services is amazing. Since moving to downtown Cleveland two years ago, I have been constantly disappointed in the fact that I never got the sense of a "small town" business anywhere I went. But Downtown Dental is exactly that; it's hospitable, it's quality dental care, and it's downright good service. When I called in about a tooth discoloration concern, the person who spoke to me was direct, informative, and showed a true understanding of why I was asking questions as a client. I initially had some concerns about being an out-of-network client, but I was assured that I would get clear estimates for any work that may need to be done. To add, I called in on a Friday afternoon, and they were able to book me an emergency appointment for first thing Monday. The dental assistant, Maria, is probably the funniest person I have met in Cleveland; she is a character who cannot hold back a smile. She did a very good job of setting me up for Dr. Lu and eased my nerves before getting down to business (to give perspective, I loathe doctor appointments and had not been to a dentist in ten years). She also relayed a lot of important information on what to expect; Dr. Lu would relay this same information later. It was nice having the double confirmation. When Maria and Dr. Lu did work on me, they both showed clear understanding of what a patient goes through. Sometimes a doctor says, "You might feel this," but then you do not or the person is off the mark. Nope. Maria and Dr. Lu were very knowledged in what I would experience throughout the day or in the chair, whether numbness, tingling, etc. And after my dental issues were assessed on the first day, the office manager, AJ, came over and very clearly explained costs, providing multiple options to proceed; she is efficient. Also on the first day I arrived, Downtown Dental Services managed to keep me longer and let me take an open appointment slot to knock out what would have been 2-3 separate appointments. When I went in today, I had to move a future appointment due to an upcoming interview, but the same thing happened. They were able to fit me in later in the day to knock out both appointments; I just went on a quick lunch break and came back in for the later slot. Setting up appointments was just such a hassle-free process, and Downtown Dental Services already scheduled me for my next cleaning for several months down the road. As someone who has a very busy schedule (I teach, write, and work as an editor), it was such a relief to have a place that made appointments work seamlessly. This is the first doctor ever (whether primary care, eye doctor, you name it) that I do not have any reservations about visiting. From the beginning of my interactions here, I knew that it was worth choosing Downtown Dental Services even if I had to pay a bit more for being out-of-network; the security and treatment you get as a client is a reminder that good service is worth a little more. As a new patient at downtown dental, I had a great experience. They were fast, efficient, and Sando, the receptionist, was able to squeeze me in for two same day appointments that made it extremely convenient for my busy and sporadic schedule. The entire staff was very friendly and exceptional.

As a new patient and newcomer to Cleveland, I found this to be an excellent and friendly dental office. Dr. Tony did a great job with a couple of molar fillings... and Cindy was really awesome with dental cleaning... Highly recommended.

Cindy and Dr. Lu along with all of the dental assistants are all so kind and take great care of their patients! Cindy was an amazing hygienist and is very thorough with her cleanings, definitely recommend if you are in the Cleveland area!
