⭐ **1 Star — The consultation was fine. Everything after it was not.** I went to Empire Dental Specialty Group in Beavercreek on August 5 for an endodontic consultation. Before making the appointment, I had checked my insurance provider’s directory and this office was listed as covered. When I arrived, however, I was told they were not covered by my insurance. Since I was already there and had made the appointment, I decided to proceed and paid approximately $200 for the consultation. The consultation itself went well. It confirmed that I needed additional treatment, which was exactly why I was there. My dentist had already determined that I needed to see an endodontist, so from my perspective, the purpose of paying for the consultation was to evaluate the problem and then move forward with the necessary treatment. On my way out, I spoke with the receptionist about the insurance issue. She told me she wasn't sure how my insurance worked, but that she would look into it and **call me within 24 hours** so we could figure out the next step. That call never came. Two weeks went by before I realized I had heard absolutely nothing from them. I finally called the office myself. The person I spoke with seemed to have no idea what had happened, why nobody had contacted me, or what had become of the follow-up that I had been waiting for. She had to look through everything while I was on the phone trying to figure it out. At that point, I had lost confidence in the office. Dental work, especially specialty work like a root canal or other endodontic treatment, requires trust. If an office tells me they will contact me within 24 hours and then completely forgets about me for two weeks, I am not comfortable trusting them with the actual procedure. What frustrated me even more was that after explaining all of this, they still tried to schedule me for an appointment several weeks later. After waiting two weeks for a phone call that never came, I wasn't interested in waiting several more weeks hoping that this time they would actually follow through. I asked for my consultation fee to be refunded because, due to their failure to follow up, the consultation ultimately went nowhere. They refused, saying that I had paid for the consultation and the consultation had been performed. Technically, yes, the consultation was performed. But I didn't pay nearly $200 just to be told that I needed endodontic treatment. **My dentist had already told me that. That's why I was referred to an endodontist in the first place.** I paid for a consultation because I intended to continue treatment with the specialist, and their lack of follow-through is what prevented that from happening. I don't expect perfection from any business. Mistakes happen. But when you tell a patient you'll call within 24 hours, don't call for two weeks, don't seem to know what happened when the patient finally calls you, and then refuse to make things right, you've lost that patient's trust. The doctor and the consultation itself were perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the administrative handling afterward was enough that I would not feel comfortable returning or trusting this office with my treatment.

Been taking my kids here for a while now…and the staff is always welcoming and nice every visit,you don’t feel rushed and they make sure to answer any questions you have without problem…

I've been going here since I was little to get braces. I've gotten braces for the second time but when it's with them it's so much better. They are so kind and caring, they are gentle with my teeth and don't show any attitude. I'm 14 and I'm not scared to come in at all. They make very good small talk and actually care about their patients. This is an amazing place to go to. I still have braces but they continue to help and guide me to better, straight teeth.

Dr. Davidson and the staff are amazing. They are great with making the kids feel safe and comfortable when they are going through such a tough change in their childhood. They make it fun and exciting. We appreciate the attentiveness and care that they exceed every visit! We truly feel like a part of the family of orthodontics, not just a patient.

Amazing people and service. Had a molar extracardiac and it was an unbelievably easy ordeal. If you require oral surgery I can't think of a better place. Great service by great people caring for their patients.
