Tyler Lockney, DDS
Dr. Tyler Lockney, often called Dr. Ty, takes pride in providing exceptional care with a focus on restoring smiles and addressing TMJ dysfunction. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completing his undergraduate studies in 2011 and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2017. Following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Ty has been practicing in Concord, NC, since 2017. Dr. Ty's continuing education focuses on implant dentistry and bite splints, ensuring he stays at the forefront of advancements in patient care. Outside the office, he enjoys sports, scuba diving, and snowboarding, as well as spending time with his significant other, Dr. Ana Murillo, and their three energetic dogs, Waldo, Kiko, and Oso. An active member of the Concord community, Dr. Ty supports initiatives like Relay For Life, Missions of Mercy clinics, and the Free Clinic.

A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Dr. Lockney has focused much of his post-graduate education on cosmetic and implant dentistry. This advanced training enables him to offer comprehensive solutions tailored to each patient's needs. Dr. Lockney and his wife, Norma, have called Concord, NC, home since 1993, where they have raised their three children.

I have been going to Dr Lockney for probably close to 20 years. Both Dr Dennis and Dr Ty are excellent dentists and both are very personable and friendly. I’ve been to them for all my regular visits and even a few unplanned visits, and the experience is consistent and professional in both instances. Madelyn, the hygienist who does my cleanings is awesome. She is gentle, kind, caring and does excellent work. If you need a dentist and appreciate old fashioned caring with modern techniques…the Lockney’s are the choice!

I cannot express the gratitude I feel for Lockney Dental, Dr. Ty, and staff. I had a very traumatic experience as a child and have avoided dental care at all costs. I had a tooth that could wait no longer for attention. My husband also goes to this location and suggested I see Dr. Ty. After preparing for a very stressful visit, I found everyone was kind and caring. The atmosphere was calm and homey despite being a dentist office. This office is out of network for my dental coverage, yet I chose to have my work done at this location. Dr. Ty prescribed medication to help me get through the process, he walked through each step of the way. The dental assistant in the office was kind and caring as well. She provided me with a soft blanket because it was cold in the room, she also patted my shoulder during the entire process to show me I was supported. I will never ever go to any other dentist office. Even the staff at the front desk is wonderfully kind! Thank you so much to Dr. Ty Lockney and staff for a wonderful, caring, professional and personal service experience. I appreciate you more than you know.

Dr. Ty and staff are amazing. I went with several issues and I absolutely hate the dentist. They discussed my options with me and helped me make a solid decision on my treatment. On the day of the planned procedure Dr. Ty put me at ease and I was completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I can say this is the place to go for your dental needs. Amazing staff.

I’ve been going to Dr.Lockney for about 14 years now. I will never change dentists again. Now that Dr.Lockney senior is semi retired I was skeptical about Dr.Lockney Jr. taking over. But to my surprise he is also amazing. Now that I’m getting older and all my doctors are starting to retire, I have not been thrilled about the new generation coming in. That is not the case with Lockney Dental. Highly recommend

Dr. Dennis has been my dentist for over 30 years. Wouldn't want anybody else doing anything to my mouth. Great man wonderful staff pleasing personality in the whole staff. Love them all.
