Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry - West Cary, NC

I came in for a cleaning - I had pre-sent the new insurance card via e-mail and even came in 15 minutes early. I was not called back until 10:15 (appointment was for 10am). I was told it was time for X-rays. The machine and or computer was not working correctly so there was a delay - so emphasis was on the high value for the office - X-rays not on what the patient wanted - a cleaning. I left the office without getting what a came for: a cleaning. I was told there was not enough time to clean my teeth. They wanted to set up another time to come back for that. The impression I have is that all Riccobene cares about is billing for high value services not what is in the best interest of the patient.

Do not go here! I had been warned about Riccobene, but they're close to my house so I thought I would try them out. I am 41 years old and have never had a cavity and somehow, magically, Dr. Cochran discovered 1 definite cavity and two forming and wanted me scheduled to come in for a filling. I always get my cleanings every 6 months, floss, brush and mouthwash every day and have never been told previously that I have a cavity so I got a second opinion. I'm so grateful I did because there are no cavities in my mouth! Upon hearing other people's experiences this sounds like common practice there for them to make more money. Dr. Cochran has also said my mom magically needs two root canals after her first visit with him, she'll be going for a second opinion elsewhere as well.

I went in for a consult and received same day endo treatment! Dr. Sowji and her assistants, Nicole & Regina were absolutely amazing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I felt at home & safe with each of them. They talked me through each step and were very informative. HIGHLY recommend this team to everyone!!

Let me start by saying after reading such positive reviews I was happy to schedule an appointment to be seen. Upon my first appointment, I was advised that X-rays were needed. I was taken to the room by a dental assistant that I won’t name but when we walked in she took my glasses and then proceeded to put a mouth guard over the area of the machine that I was to bite down on and she didn’t have any gloves on when she did that. That’s is a red flag there. No thought to hygiene at all. I then proceeded to have a filling done. Treatment plan was gone over and I then returned for a root canal that cost me $600.00 out of pocket. 1 week after having the root canal done, while eating yogurt the tooth that had the root canal broke. I was not given any instructions after the root canal. I had another treatment plan done and at this point spoke to the office manager who assured me that OSHA requires all professionals to wear gloves. I told her the dental assistant didn’t have them on that day. She basically dismissed my concerns and acted unconcerned.This entire process has been so frustrating from beginning to end. Needless to say, the tooth that I had a root canal done on now has to be pulled. It’s not salvageable. Not to mention for $600.00 I got a broken tooth.🦷 I will not ever go back to this establishment and will encourage others not to either. Waste of money, waste of time, and more pain in my mouth than I went in with.
