I had such a wonderful experience today at Asheville Smiles! From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel so comfortable and at ease. The entire team was incredibly kind, welcoming and reassuring, which really helped calm my nerves. Hannah was especially sweet and caring, and the doctor took the time to reassure me throughout the procedure, making everything feel so smooth and stress free. The front desk staff were also very friendly and welcoming. So happy to have found my new dentist office in Asheville. 💙

Worst Experience Ever My experience last December was the worst dental experience of my life. A true white knuckle pain filled experience. Before my work was started they sent in the “closer” with a list of things they recommended doing. I had already informed them my insurance was Humana and they went over the cost. I asked them multiple times if this was the total I would pay. They assured me it was even telling me that they fully understood Humana insurance and I might even get $ back. I had them do the recommended work and suffered through intense pain in the process. Vowing to never go back I put it behind me until… over 9 months later I received a text indicating I had a $517 bill remaining. They attempted to blame the insurance for not paying what they assumed they would pay. I questioned why they waited 9 months to inform me of this and they blamed it on a new software system. I will NEVER go back to them. Check out their 1 star reviews on Yelp and elsewhere.

I cannot recommend Dr. Merrell and the Asheville Smiles team enough! I just finished a year-long, multi-stage dental implant procedure and I am thrilled with the results. Throughout the entire process, the communication was top-notch. Because my work schedule changes constantly, I was worried about the logistics, but Brea is a total pro, she made scheduling and adjustments a breeze. My cleanings with Tracey are always great, and the work done by Callie, Hannah, and Carley on my whitening and other procedures was fantastic. If you want a team that is professional, skilled, and incredibly accommodating, this is the place to go!

Dr Merrell and her staff are the best Dentist office in the entire world! They take such amazing care each visit and are really awesome at making sure it is a relaxing and painless experience, I would highly recommend that anyone with teeth needs to go see Dr Merrell!!! Love this dentistry office. Great customer service from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave. Haven’t needed more than a cleaning yet but they do a great job with the oral exam, X-rays, and cleaning.
