UB Orthodontic Clinic

Oh my! I am in LOVE with this place!!!! Due to insurance, I had to put some escalating dental stuff on the back burner until a couple days ago I got a splitting headache and the worst pain experienced thus far related to my disgusting molar. I tried my usual nonsense fixes and sat up all night unable to complete and prepare for my presentation for my grad class today. In the morning I scrambled to figure something out, was told to call somewhere else and was put on a dead hold when I decided "why not?" and called. The receptionist for the emergency dental clinic, Carm, was AWESOME. Despite never being seen she assured me if I hustled over (am currently living on Niagara University campus in Lewiston) they could help me. The cost to be seen was $95 which was the evaluation for uninsured and it would go up depending what they did, a fraction of what other places would charge. The staff was awesome. You have students of different levels as well as staff who oversee them and doctors as well so in a sense you're getting better care, especially because these students are trying to do their best. I was open to extraction, being realistic that my tooth was trashed, and they still offered the *possibility* of repair though it would be an arduous process. I've always been terrified of the dentist and never had an extraction I was awake for so I was worried. The bedside manner was incredible and put me at ease. They made sure I had enough Novocaine, it was further reviewed by staff and doctor as well and I was shocked at the ease of the actual extraction! I didn't feel ANY pain! I definitely intend to follow up, figure out a budget until I have my insurance worked out so this doesn't happen to the rest of my teeth. They were so helpful in getting my application to become a patient and conveyed appreciation for *me* , as they put it "clients give us experience," which was crazy since they were the ones saving my sanity with fixing this The Same Day!!!!!! I am just so impressed with the ethics of this place and the random patients I bumped into equally loved this place. Thank you! I wish I remembered everyone's' names! I remember Carm, Jenna, and Dr. Wu but there were more! They just shared it with me when I was still panic stricken and terrified at the whole situation, lol.

The lady had the worst attitude and wouldn’t schedule me for a new appointment for a retainer after they messed up the first one

Absolutely a horrible place to go after destroying my teeth they sent me a letter saying it was no longer a learning experience and refused to see me they drilled double the depth they were supposed to on a root canal and destroyed cracked and crumbled my tooth to no repair

Still require masks as of 1/9/23.

This place is terrible. They didn't finish my treatment, and even though I paid for it, they didn't refund my money. When I call, they just put me on hold. It's a bad place; they don't know how to work.
