Dr. Wees was fantastic with my son’s braces! She was always there to answer any questions and was so knowledgeable about any issues that might arise. The front desk and all the office staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure appointments were scheduled when needed, providing school notes, and answering billing questions. I’m definitely planning to use their office again for my other children’s orthodontic needs.

Dr. Wees is incredibly kind, patient, and professional — I always felt comfortable and in good hands. Myriam, the assistant, is also amazing! She’s so patient and sweet, which really made every visit a great experience. The financial process was very convenient too. They really work with you to make it manageable, which I appreciated so much. They made my smile very beautiful, and I couldn’t be more confident. The care was affordable, and I had check-ups every three months. I've had crooked teeth and a misaligned bite from my adolescence into my late 30s. This has caused significant issues like jaw pain when eating my favorite foods, causing me to only eat on one side of my jaw, unable to floss my teeth properly, and self-image issues like not smiling with my teeth showing. When I was younger, my family did not have the money to afford braces, and even as an adult, I was concerned it may not be worth the costs despite my continued dental challenges. Eventually, with the urging of my dentist, I decided to take the plunge and get braces. After five orthodontic consultations for dental braces, it was only Dr. Julie Wees that I felt trustworthy and had the lowest overall price. Other consultants had their hand on the door handle to leave the consultation as quickly as possible, and didn’t answer my complicated, direct questions. I was concerned about what types of benefits I could expect - reduced jaw pain or only straightened teeth? Dr. Julie Wees was the only orthodontist that was willing to meet with me twice at no cost to me, tell me what could be expected based on different approaches according to the best evidence available, and answer all my questions thoughtfully and compassionately. It was the type of conversation when someone is listening to you, anticipating the things perhaps you are trying to say, and boiling her expertise into language you can understand and trust. Specifically important to me, I wanted an orthodontist willing to say what would lead to the best results even if it wasn’t my initial preference as I sought Invisalign over metal braces initially at least. One orthodontic consultant showed me Invisalign before and after a complicated, adult orthodontist patient and I believed the results were unimpressive. During my experience with some orthodontists, I felt that they were more willing to entertain my Invisalign preference than what the best result could be. I asked Dr. Wees about Invisalign and she was the only consultant out of the 5 that didn’t recommend Invisalign over metal braces, saying metal braces will lead to better results for my situation. I am so grateful we were able to have a direct, honest conversation leading to my trust in her recommendation. No person can be an expert in everything, so we all need to learn to be experts at trusting the right person for the right reasons and I felt that way about Dr. Wees. During my two-year with braces, I met with Dr. Wees everytime. Her scheduling staff were efficient at scheduling my appointments. I never had a delay on my scheduled appointment time. All my questions between appointments were handled quickly usually on the day I called. Of course, behind every great orthodontist is a great team. During braces adjustments, Miriam was Dr. Wees counterparts adjusting my brackets and wires most of the time. Miriam was so effective at unwrapping my brackets and replacing wires; she has so much skill in orthodontic adjustments! Her ability instilled confidence during my adjustments. When I would go to my appointments, I was so comfortable with the scheduling staff, Miriam and Dr. Wees; it was like a third place in my life. If you value a health care experience where you are treated like family and friend with excellence and efficiency, I recommend choosing Dr. Wees and her team!
