I’m in the same situation as many others stated with older children. My daughter’s hopes were up thinking she would get braces. Every month for nearly 4 years I would receive an email stating she was still on the waitlist. No response to any emails inquiring on the status. But, they had no problem reading to me the email I sent to them once I finally was able to speak with someone. I never looked for alternative options being I continuously received emails stating “my daughter is still on the waitlist”. Mind you, I applied when she was 15. Now at 19 years old, no notice stating she has aged out until I called them. If you cannot assist once a child ages out, then you should refund the application fee. The lack of communication is poor business. If your low income can afford to throw away $30, by all means apply. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother with the program. Don’t lead people on to then rip them off & not communicate.

This "organization" is a joke and a scam, they don't respond to emails for months until you pay. Then they respond and say the have nothing in your area, when asked for a refund they simply stopped responding to emails again. I have all the emails to prove it. Reporting to my bank for fraud.

This is not a scam...I thought about it being a scam but I tried it and my daughter has been happy she finally has her braces....truly a blessing and all it cost me was $650. I really appreciate these people they have been a blessing and the orthodontist is wonderful as well that the work with.

100% SCAM! My daughter has been on the waiting list for four years. The only communication I've received is an email every six months, informing us that she is still on the waiting list. They never call or provide any other options. I regret wasting my money on these scammers. Don't let yourself be cheated by these crooks!

Smiles Change Lives is such a wonderful program. I understand the frustrations of some of the negative reviews - my daughter was on the waitlist for around 2.5 years. I felt left in the dark regarding her status on the waitlist, but I had to remember this is a service these folks are providing to HELP people that would not be able to afford braces otherwise. I'm sure there are various factors that determine wait times and availability (amount of providers in a particular area, number of applicants, etc.) Fast-forward, my daughter has been in treatment with the most amazing orthodontist, Dr. Doshi for around 4 months. Her results are already astonishing! Thank you to SCL for giving my daughter the opportunity be proud to show off her teeth!
