Dr. Bates is an amazing Orthontist! Staff is very friendly and supportive. They are understanding and step up to support community when needed. Highly recommend ! Not only do they help you with your braces but they create space and time to get to know you and support you. DID IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO MY TEETH!! Several years ago when I was a college student at the UMN, my retainers broke and I needed a new pair. This seemed like a nice location close to campus. I had new retainers made there and the fit was checked by Dr. Bates. I noticed my new retainers did not cover any of my four farthest back molars and even specifically asked about this fact, but Dr. Bates assured me this didn't matter. Fast forward several years later of diligently wearing my retainers and it absolutely does matter. I now have an open bite from my rear molars not being included in the retainers. Horrible, awful advice received from this place that has opened me up to an issue that can't be fixed without more ortho.
