Miller Orthodontics - Grand Rapids

I am super displeased with the work Miller Orthodontics did on my teeth. This was the third time I had braces and the second time I had Invisalign-style braces (actually, they did Spark). At the beginning of my treatment, I discussed my insecurity about going this route because I was so displeased with my second round of braces. As a child, I had horribly crooked teeth. I got metal braces when I was 19, and I was extremely happy with the results in just 11 months. Miller Orthodontics had my “braces” on for over a year for no reason whatsoever. My teeth had barely shifted from not having my retainers. There was no need to have me in trays for that long. I was incredibly sick at the time I had my work done at their office - I had lost my voice and could barely stand up for myself. Now, my whole face is crooked, my smile is uneven, and my two front teeth are uneven. They pulled back my jaw so much that my smile isn’t as pronounced, which is the exact opposite of what I discussed before treatment and contradicts the pictures I showed. At month ten of my treatment, I expressed my concerns on the floor during a session, and the orthodontist working on my teeth responded nastily, compromising any professional demeanor and leaving me so uncomfortable that I didn’t know how to react. I then spoke by phone with Dr. Miller, who had originally done my evaluation for the braces, but I hadn’t seen him since. He made me feel better, but the work never got better. My chin is no longer in line with my nose, and the right side of my mouth sits higher than the left. This was never, ever the case in my entire life. I have no idea what their purpose of keeping me in trays for so long was, but this was hands down the worst experience I ever had with orthodontia. So bad that I can’t stand looking at myself, and I am forced to do this review over a year later. In addition, they did not utilize my insurance, claiming the banding date was after it was activated, which is funny, because when I bought the insurance, the office informed me to notify them when it became active (It took a year for the insurance to go into effect after my original purchase). I recommend that no one use this office or orthodontist to “fix” their teeth. You will be highly displeased!

Wonderful orthodontic experience. Everyone is kind and the office runs very smoothly. I really appreciate how my kid’s teeth are well cared for.

We like the fun contests Dr. Miller & staff create for the kids! My son won & picked The Haunt tickets for his prize! That and Miller Orthodontist has straightened all three of my kids’ teeth 😊! The Haunt was super fun!! Thanks for the tickets!
