I went in for a second opinion after my local dentist suggested I see an orthodontist about a potential issue. I was originally referred to a different office, but after that visit I didn’t feel fully informed — I was given a couple of options, but the explanations felt rushed and a bit sales-driven. Since my wife had previously seen Dr. Gruelle and had a great experience, I decided to book a consultation here instead — and I’m very glad I did. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and even before the visit they sent a very detailed questionnaire, which already showed how thorough they are. On the day of the appointment, they did a full 3D scan and took comprehensive photos of my teeth — much more detailed than my previous consult elsewhere. Tammy met with me first and walked me through exactly how the visit would go. She was warm, professional, and easy to talk to. She asked about my concerns and how I ended up there, and made sure my goals for the visit were clear. When Dr. Gruelle came in, he did an extremely thorough exam and gave detailed, easy-to-follow explanations — not just what the options were, but why my teeth are the way they are, what similar cases look like, what treatments have worked before, and what outcomes to expect. Most importantly, he gave an honest recommendation: treatment was not necessary right now. That really stood out to me, especially since the other office was strongly pushing me toward starting treatment. I never once felt like a sales target here — I felt like a patient being cared for. Dr. Gruelle spoke to me like family, not a customer. Afterward, Tammy summarized everything again in simpler terms and made sure I fully understood the conclusions and next steps. Even though they didn’t end up “getting business” from my visit, they gave me clarity, confidence, and likely saved me a lot of unnecessary cost. That says everything about their integrity. If I — or anyone I know — ever needs orthodontic care, this is where I would go without hesitation. Highly recommended.

I had Dr Gruelle and I would not recommend him. He tried to come across fun and likeable but he would also say insulting things, for example “that’s ugly” when I showed him a picture of what I wanted my smile to look like. Needless to say, my smile turned out like what he wanted instead of what I wanted and I don’t like it. He touted how my face would be perfectly aligned with my smile (it’s not) and how a wider smile is always better, despite the fact that I have a small mouth and said I did not want a wide smile. My treatment was supposed to be a year but because he kept doing things that I didn’t want, the treatment dragged on for 5.5 years! The worst part is, I will have to do this again someday, and pay again, to get my nice, aligned smile. All that said, the few times I saw Dr Dempsey during a follow up, he was very nice. However, he deferred to Gruelle’s treatment instead of advising me properly. The techs were also very nice. I just wish after 5 years I had the smile I wanted and paid for.

Doing Invisalign here is so easy. They have the process down to a science so each visit is quick, simple, and effective. I'm on week 19 of approximately 40 and wearing the teeth guards has been very straight forward. If you're hesitant I recommend making an appointment and asking them about your concerns, staff are super knowledgeable and friendly.

If you’re thinking about Invisalign, I can’t recommend Dr. Gruelle at Gruelle Dempsey Orthodontics enough. He is knowledgeable and makes everything easy to understand. Dr. Gruelle and his staff are super friendly and take the time to get to know you personally. I felt supported each step of the process, and I was accommodated easily with scheduling. Every visit was comfortable and stress-free, and I truly appreciate how smoothly the entire process went — so much so that all four of our family members chose to do Invisalign here!

I had such a great experience at this office! Dr. Dempsey was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Our treatment coordinator, Sara, was amazing—so kind, helpful, and really made us feel comfortable throughout the process. What impressed me most was how they went above and beyond to make time in their schedule so we could get started with treatment the very same day. We truly felt cared for from the moment we walked in. Highly recommend!
