I would highly recommend Dr. Murphy and his staff! I now have a second generation going to him and have always been impressed with his knowledge and skill of orthodontic dentistry. I personally had braces with Dr. Murphy, all of my nieces and nephews have and now one of my daughters is also seeing him for orthodontics. We totally trust his expertise and I really like the fact that he starts with the kids early to prevent more major issues later as their teeth come in. This has been proven to be very important to having successful outcomes and beautiful smiles. His staff is also super friendly and treat you as if you were family. If you are looking into improving your smile, fixing alignment issues, etc. don’t hesitate to give Dr. Murphy and his staff a call!

I highly recommend Dr. Murphy and his staff. I currently have my second son in his final stages and will be starting my 3rd soon. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dr. Murphy is very precise and makes sure the bite is correct as well as the teeth so there are no issues down the road. My boys feel welcomed at every visit and don’t have that awkward feeling. The staff keeps you informed of progress and what needs to be done before the next visit. They are also very accommodating with appointments, and quick to get you in if something is rubbing or comes loose. I could go on and on… bottom line…go see Dr Murphy and his staff.

As an adult I am still upset about what this place did to my teeth as a child. They excessively ground my teeth as instead of actually getting my bite confirmation correct and now as an adult an having to get Invisalign to fix my bite (this place did poorly) in order to protect my already quite heavy thinned enamel (from the excessive grind this place did) Also the way they ground my teeth was not aesthetic, they shortened my teeth and made them asymmetric and not straight. It would take veneers to truly fix what happened at the hands of Dr. Murphy but at this point I'm just trying to preserve my natural teeth as they last the longest despite the aesthetic damage. So now I'm paying to straighten my teeth (again) that have been filed down in a way they cannot really look straight or correct ever again just so that I can stop them wearing through the enamel. I also believe my two brothers had similar outcomes with overzealous grinding of teeth. To address reply I was unhappy with the work as soon as I got my braces removed. 1, When my braces got taken off after the grinding I had intense tooth sensitivity I went to the dentist for due to the excessive grinding. To this day I cannot have tooth whitening performed without pain in the same areas. 2, I tried to get consultation about whether I could take action against your practice my dentist said what you did was technically correct but also agreed it couldn't be called quality work. 3, My dentist did a further small amount of grinding on the back of my upper teeth where the right canines still had excessive contact (while I still had both permanent retains in) and is an issue that persists to this day. You didn't make enough room for my bite or truly sort out some of these issues (it's the right canine that got ground down so severely that I had shooting pains for the first several months of getting my braces removed) 4, My teeth gapped on either side of the permeant retainer, that's why its outside of 7 and 10. I did after this had already happened have my retainer removed and replaces with a removable one which, your office would have no record of as you didn't perform this work. Just because I am getting around the the review now doesn't mean I wasn't always unhappy with the work, I think it was poorly quality, and that is why people leave reviews. To let others know their satisfaction with a service.

WARNING. We had a consultation and given our quote for our son. During which we told them I was moving out of state for a new job with new insurance. We paid fully up front and the insurance pays out a check each time. What they didn't tell us was once I moved the insurance company will no longer pay and they keep the difference. So we lost $650 and Brenda told us this happens all the time. We could of just waited 6 more months for braces when my new insurance started.

I am from Beloit, I started going with Dr. Murphy 2 years ago. I was shopping around in Janesville, Beloit and Rockford. Dr. Murphy was the best and most reasonable quote I received. I paid for my braces out of pocket with monthly reasonable payments. :)
