Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry of Savannah

I was referred here by the Chatham county health department, after my toddler was showing signs of being anxious. staff were very friendly, when I made an appointment over the phone. When we arrived yesterday morning, I did get confused on where they were, but once entering the suite I was greeted by friendly staff. The check in process was very smooth, they even scheduled our 6 month appointment ahead of time. The office was very colorful and clean, my toddler was very anxious, they were very patient with him. They even talked to him while explaining to him, what they were going to do. He loved the bubbles and even watched Toy story that they had showing on the television. I would definitely recommend, this office to my family and friends!

We had only heard great reviews about Dogwood so we wanted to give it a shot for my 16 month olds first time at the dentist! The lobby was clean, short wait time and Madison and Dr Morgan were so sweet and patient with him. They had fun items in the room to distract him, like a stuffed dinosaur and a large toothbrush to clean his teeth with, and he was able to pick out some toys to take home too! It went smoother than I thought it would and was a great overall experience.

They are THE BEST! Both my boys (5 & 10) have been coming here for years, always a wonderful experience, friendly faces, clean office & my boys are never nervous about their dentist appointments because they take such good care of their patients ☺️

This was our first visit to Dogwood for both of my sons. We had the best experience! Our appointment was at 2:30p but they got us back a little earlier. Samantha made their visit so fun and interesting. You can tell she loves her job and she wants the kids to feel comfortable. We can’t wait for our next appointment with her in April. I cannot rave enough of how everybody was so nice and welcoming from the front desk all the way to checkout. Thank you Dogwood for giving both my sons a great experience!

Change from 5 stars to 1 star.... Our experience initially started out positive with Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry. The hygienists and dentists have always been pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, our recent interactions with the front desk staff have been extremely disappointing. My son had an appointment scheduled for today, and my mother brought him in. She was told there was an outstanding balance. She immediately called me, and when I spoke with the front desk representative, I was told that the chart stated “an invoice was given to his grandmother” at his July visit. That is simply not true. My mother was the grandmother who took him to that appointment, and no invoice was provided. I was also told I should have known about the balance from the EOB provided by insurance company. Unfortunately, my son has 3 insurances and sometimes the EOB’s are not always accurate. We also never receive an EOB from his Peach State Insurance. We were then told that an invoice was generated and mailed in August 2025 for a claim that was denied back in 2024. That timeline does not make sense and raises serious concerns about their billing procedures and recordkeeping. If the claim was denied in 2024, why would an invoice not be generated until 2025? And if it was supposedly provided in July, why is there documentation stating it was mailed later? When I asked to speak with the office manager at the Savannah location, I was told she was out and was transferred to the Pooler office. While the manager there was more polite, she stated they would not place false notes in the system. However, the notes are clearly inaccurate. The chart also indicated that my child had an appointment in August 2025 but was not seen due to a balance. My child did not have an appointment in August. What is even more frustrating is that I spoke with four different representatives regarding today’s appointment, and not one person mentioned any outstanding balance. Yet upon arrival, we were suddenly told payment was required. Additionally, patients are not allowed to speak directly with the billing department, but they insist on immediate payment over the phone — and they only accept card payments. For a pediatric office, professionalism, transparency, and accurate communication should be standard. While the clinical staff have been great, the front office billing practices and communication have been unacceptable.
