Tioga Dental at Celebration Pointe

I made this appointment after many years of not going to the dentist, so I was understandably a little nervous. I decided to go with this establishment, because the reviews were good and the place, itself looked kind and inviting. Due to many different unfortunate events, I have had to change the appointment many different times, but the staff have always been very kind, understanding and amendable about changing the time. When the time came to have the actual appointment, Madison was very knowledgeable and explained everything she was going to do and why (the many different types of x rays and what she saw). I felt very safe and not judged. Then, the Dr. Bukata came in and explained the different things she saw and how she wanted to treat. I must also mention both Dr. Bukata and Madison were very gentle and did their best to minimize any pain or discomfort. I am thankful for their work and am sad that Madison is going to be moving. But I have confidence that whomever works with me and my mouth, will be just as patient, kind, and gentle like both of these nice ladies.

My daughter visited this dental office for the first time on her own. During her appointment, Ashley explained the treatment process and informed her that the office would submit the information to the insurance company and take care of everything. Based on that understanding, my daughter proceeded with the treatment and made the requested payment. Several months later, we received a phone call requesting an additional payment. When we contacted the insurance company, we were informed that the dental office had never submitted a formal request for approval. Instead, they only submitted a quote for a crown, even though my daughter only needed a filling. A quote is not the same as an approved claim. What is most frustrating is not the additional payment itself, but the lack of communication and transparency. My daughter trusted the office to handle the insurance properly. She was told that the treatment was approved and that she only needed to pay the difference, which she did. Later, we were informed that the insurance paid $48.00 instead of $68.00, but at no point were we clearly advised that the treatment had not been formally approved or that there could be additional charges. When I contacted the office to discuss this matter, I did not feel the situation was handled with the level of professionalism it required. Clear communication and proper insurance verification are essential, especially when dealing with young patients who may not fully understand the process. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication practices to prevent other families from experiencing similar frustration.

From the moment I walked in, Taylor and Mrs. Kathy provided exceptional customer service that immediately made me feel welcomed and at ease. I did have some insurance issues at first, but they both went above and beyond to help me navigate everything smoothly. They were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding, and Mrs. Kathy truly has the best customer service. Her warmth and professionalism, along with Taylor’s support, honestly make you want to keep coming back. I was a little nervous about going to the dentist since it had been a while, but once I got to the back, Dr. Bhaka made me feel beyond comfortable. She was extremely kind and highly skilled and took the time to walk me through the entire process, explaining everything clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. Overall, my experience at Tioga Dental Celebration Point was excellent, and I’m so glad I chose this office. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent and professional dental team. The receptionsists were wonderful as well as the staff. they made my experience with getting a filling very comfortable because it was my first time. I paid and left and everything went smoothly, until a month later after everything was already done Ashley contacted me asking to pay another $200 after I had already paid $200 and signed on that agreement. When I tried to ask her why she was very rude and quickly blamed my insurance but was not helpful in trying to understand the situation at all. She talked to me like I was stupid and it was really frustrating because if I would’ve known it was that much from the start I would’ve found somewhere else. I am very disappointed because the actually dentists themselves were so sweet, but because of Ashley I will not be returning and I truly hope she can be more kind and understanding to other clients so that someone doesn’t have to experience getting treated like that.

Today was my second visit to Tioga Dental at Celebration Pointe; I was scheduled for an evaluation by Nate who is my Dental Hygienist. Kathy, the Medical Administrative Support greeted me immediately with a smile when I approached the desk. She was very friendly. She advised me that Nate would be out shortly to call me back. I sat down in the waiting room and within five minutes Nate came and called me back to the room. After he examined my teeth, he determined I did require another cleaning which he performed. I am so glad that he was assigned to be my hygienist. He notices if your gums are irritated from aggressive brushing or gingivitis and is extra gentle with plaque removal in those areas. If you still have pain, he will apply gel to numb those areas which works well. It is obvious he truly cares about his patients. He is also very friendly and personable. I was in and out under an hour. Kathy checked me out and was just as friendly as when I checked in. I truly appreciate everyone at Tioga Dental at Celebration Pointe including my Dentist, Dr. Bhukta, who is also wonderful. She's a fantastic dentist but is also very friendly and has a great sense of humor. I am very happy at Tioga Dental at Celebration Pointe.
