I'm expecting to see a dentist no one told me I'm not gonna see a dentist and when you get there they say no you see a hygienist get all your x-rays then you virtually see a dentist and see what your insurance covers for the plan forward. That's not what I was explained and that's not what I was expecting. They wasted my time. I could have been doing other things rather than coming to this appointment. What a terrible experience.

Went for a cleaning and ex-rays. I was pressured to get a deep cleaning and some type of apparatus to wear and further treatments totaling over $2,000.00 and did not even get my teeth cleaned. It was my first visit to this office and I was not offered any option to get a basic cleaning and the other work done later. There was no Dentist on site. Spoke to someone on video chat and had no choice in the matter nor any prior notice that there was no Dentist on site. Very dissatisfied.

After spending more than $3,000 out of pocket, even with dental insurance, my experience with Coast Dental in Gainesville has been incredibly disappointing. I was scheduled for a procedure that I had already paid for, only to arrive and find out the dentist wasn’t there after telling me to come in on a different day. Later, they scheduled me for my final appointment to have my crown placed, but the day before the appointment they canceled because the crown wasn’t ready from the lab. Now I’ve been told that once the crown arrives, they still have to figure out when corporate will send another dentist to the office. Meanwhile, none of these cancellations, scheduling issues, or delays change the amount I’m expected to pay. I want to be clear that I’m not blaming the staff. They’re doing their jobs and have bills to pay just like everyone else. My frustration is with the way this office is being managed. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to work in an environment where patients are constantly inconvenienced because of circumstances beyond the staff’s control. I do not recommend Coast Dental in Gainesville based on my experience. I hope they improve their scheduling, communication, and patient care so others don’t have to go through the same frustration.

So went in weeks ago to get just a teeth cleaning told them from beginning I haven’t been to dentist 10 years long time but just wanted teeth cleaning they had me sign papers that was mixed in with “new patient forms” then some papers in there I guess was “optional “ after they already told me to sign everything and then told me to just go sit down , took hours and never never got my teeth cleaned ..very upset with this now they give me a 300$ + bill. And never got my teeth cleaned and all over says new patient exams are free ?.. sooo why am I getting charged and never had anything done , also been calling you guys for OVER A WEEK and no response except Indian people that say they put in a ticket request and still NO ONE CALLS BACK very very scammy place. ALSO PICK UP YOUR PHONES BEEN CALLING FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT AND NOTHING.

Worst dental office I’ve ever been to — and I’m in the dental profession. My first appointment was canceled without notice after I had already driven 30 minutes to the office. I gave them another chance. Before my second appointment, I uploaded my insurance information online and brought it with me again on the day of the visit. I have used this same insurance recently without issue. After sitting in the waiting room for TWO HOURS for a routine cleaning, I was told they could not verify my insurance and therefore could not see me. The office manager was unable to resolve the issue or offer a reasonable solution. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of communication. At no point during those two hours was I updated about the situation or given the option to reschedule. The office felt disorganized, several staff members were rude, and the office itself did not appear clean. After two separate negative experiences, I will not be returning.
