Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics - Stockton at Brookside

My child had a wonderful first dental visit. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful, making check-in easy. Tasha was very comforting during the X-ray process and took the time to answer all of my questions. Dr. Nakamura even wore an astronaut helmet, which the kids loved, and was extremely gentle while cleaning my daughter's teeth. We're looking forward to our follow-up visit.

My son had a great experience here. First he (and I) had a lot of fun with playing the retro arcade games in the game/waiting room (who doesn’t like Super Mario Bros?). Also he was comfortable with the staff, his hygienist was gentle and Dr Tony Nguyen was patient answering all my talkative child’s questions. Thank you!

Absolutely love this office don’t get me wrong. This is a dental office so sometimes you get in quick and sometimes you do have to wait a little bit but I have no problem waiting because my daughter has never felt so comfortable with a dentist before. My daughter has seen several dentist and it was always the same. She needed to be put to sleep in order to remove a tooth and they would not work on her unless she was put under. my daughter didn’t even want x-rays done. She was terrified of dentist. I found Dr. Nakamura and was expecting for her to be put under he said no need, and there wasn’t he was able to pull the tooth that my daughter needed and has been doing work on her teeth ever since he is wonderful with kids and is truly a blessing to my family because my daughter had a horrible infection and he was able to do the work needed and not put her to sleep. he makes children feel comfortable, and also parents I hope he never retires. his dental assistant Jnylah is friendly, funny and very helpful answered any questions we had and made sure my daughter left happy. Thank you, both great team!

sensitive kiddo got taken care by professional and friendly staffs today. We saw Dr. Nakamura today for my son's 6 months cleaning. Thank you also for Tasha for taking time to demonstrate good brushing technique for my son.

The Dental Assistant J'Nyliah was so friendly to my 9 year old and anwsered all of his questions and made him feel comfortable from start to finish. Now the DENTIST on the other hand d was HORRIBLE. He wears a space helmet and looks nice, but he isn't. Our first experience last year he said my son need a baby root canal, so we go back and the other dentist say no he doesn't! Then we go back last Saturday, wait in hour in the waiting room for our appointment all to be rescheduled to Monday because they were too busy. We go Monday for cleaning and was told his filling fell out and to come back the next day ( Tuesday) to fix it. We go Tuesday, the dentist does the numbing shot, comes back in 10 minutes later and says, he doesn't need a filling replacement! I then asked him why he gave him the numbing shot if he did not need the filling, and he proceeds to say that he did not look at his mouth, but only looked at the x ray and based off the x rays he needed it but visually he didn'tand is was up to me to proceed. It's hard for me to believe that he did not look inside my son's mouth to examine what he was going do prior to giving him the shot. All of this made no sense and he proceeded to go back and forth with me. Very unprofessional !
