Don’t make the same mistake we did… Overall, our experience with Kubo Orthodontics was positive, and our daughter’s teeth look great. The staff was professional, and we appreciated the care she received throughout her treatment. However, we do want to share an important lesson for other families. When our daughter was 10, we were advised she might need a two-phase treatment plan. We moved forward with the first phase—spacer and braces—and were very happy with the results. At that point, her teeth looked great, and we asked about a retainer, but were told it was not necessary. Unfortunately, less than two years later, her teeth shifted out of alignment, and we were advised to begin a second full round of braces at an additional cost of several thousand dollars. We had initially believed this would be more of a continuation or adjustment of the original treatment, rather than an entirely new phase with full cost. In hindsight, we wish we had more clearly understood the long-term plan and the importance of retention or timing. It may have helped us avoid additional treatment and expense. For other families, we strongly recommend asking detailed questions about the full treatment plan, including whether a retainer is needed and whether timing could allow for a single phase of treatment. We are grateful for the end result, but also feel this could have been communicated more clearly upfront. As we complete our final payment, we hope the practice might consider this feedback and, in the spirit of goodwill, review our account.

I’ve been going to Dr. Kubo for over 15 years starting with braces, then a retainer, and now I’m back for Invisalign after losing my retainer. My 10-year-old will also be starting treatment with his office soon, which says a lot about the trust I have in him. Dr. Kubo has always been kind, helpful, and friendly, and his staff is just as wonderful. I will always recommend Dr. Kubo and his office!

Kubo Orthodontics is simply the best! They are incredibly accommodating, with a perfect balance of professionalism and a down-to-earth, friendly atmosphere. Their bedside manner is unmatched, making every visit a positive experience. One of the things we love most is how they keep patients engaged—my child actually looks forward to appointments, thanks to their fun contests and welcoming environment. The hygienists are absolutely wonderful—so kind, patient, and knowledgeable—and the fact that many have been there for years speaks volumes about how well this office runs behind the scenes. The text, call and email reminder preferences are so so so convenient. Both Dr Kubo’s are not only so good at what they do, they remember you and what you have going on in your life. The office also has contests and socials for patients, the it’s a great environment. So you walk away with a beautiful smile and this great experience - worth every penny!
