DiCiccio Freeman Orthodontics

My son had his initial consultation at DiCiccio Freeman today. We had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and Brittany, the Treatment Coordinator, took the time to show us exactly what was going on with his bite and walked us through the pros and cons of different treatments. She explained our options clearly, and answered all our questions without feeling rushed. Highly recommend!

I chose this orthodontic office because they offered the most affordable option, and I paid for my braces in full upfront. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely frustrating, and I wish I had chosen an office that prioritized communication, transparency, and patient care. Before choosing this office, I consulted with four other orthodontists. Their estimated treatment times were around **4–6 months**, but I chose this office because it was more affordable. I was told my treatment would take **6–9 months**. At one appointment, I asked if I could have colored bands because I did not like the all-silver look. The dental assistant explained that colored bands were not necessary because their brackets and wires were not traditional braces and that their technology was faster, meaning bands were only for aesthetics. However, this was frustrating because this office actually gave me the longest estimated treatment timeline compared to the other orthodontists I consulted. When I reached the six-month mark, I expected to discuss my progress and timeline with the orthodontist. Instead, I was simply told that the doctor was now expecting my treatment to take closer to nine months. I was never personally consulted by the doctor or given an explanation as to why my timeline changed or what specifically required additional time. I have consistently attended my appointments, so I expected better communication about my treatment. Around my eighth month of treatment, I informed the office that I would be moving from Fresno to San Jose for a new job. I asked when I should expect to have my braces removed so I could plan accordingly. I was told not to worry and to keep them updated. They even mailed me a card congratulating me on my new job, so they were aware of my move and changing schedule. I kept the office updated and spoke with **Jenifer** twice to try to schedule an appointment that worked with my availability. In early June, I explained that I could come Monday through Thursday and needed the latest afternoon appointment available because I could not miss my mandatory summer college classes. I was trying to be flexible and accommodate their schedule. I was told there was nothing available until August. Later, when my schedule changed and I became available on Mondays, I called again and updated Jenifer that I could come in anytime on Mondays. I was then told the next Monday appointment available was not until **October**. This was extremely disappointing. I understand offices get busy, but as a patient who had already paid in full, consistently attended appointments, and kept the office informed, I expected a reasonable effort to work with me. Instead, it felt like I was constantly expected to adjust my schedule around the office while my treatment continued to be pushed back. I was also disappointed with how the situation was handled when I explained that I could not miss my college classes. I was trying to balance school, work, and orthodontic appointments, and I did not feel like my circumstances were being considered. At this point, my treatment is approaching the one-year mark, which is extremely frustrating because that was not what I expected. As an adult patient who has already had braces before, I specifically wanted to minimize the amount of time I would need to wear braces. I understand every case is different, but I chose this office based on the timeline I was given and wanted to complete treatment as efficiently as possible. Wearing braces as an adult is already a commitment, and I was hoping to avoid extending the process longer than necessary. My biggest concerns are the lack of communication from the orthodontist, the changing treatment timeline without explanation, and the difficulty scheduling appointments despite my repeated attempts to accommodate the office. I chose this office because it was the most affordable option, but unfortunately, paying more at another orthodontic office may have been the better choice :(

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about DiCiccio Freeman Orthodontics. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in any medical setting — I genuinely looked forward to my appointments! From day one, the entire team was professional, kind, welcoming, and FUN. Every visit felt organized, upbeat, and positive. They go above and beyond with their amenities — a massage chairs/game room, baked goods, fun merch — and the fun details (like everyone wearing red shoes!) make it such a unique and memorable place. I was always taken care of and felt valued every single time I walked in. You can tell they truly care about their patients and love what they do. And the best part? My teeth are PERFECT. I could not be happier with my results. I will honestly miss going there — and that says everything. Five stars isn’t enough.

I have had two children successfully complete orthodontic treatment with DiCiccio Freeman, and a third who is currently in treatment. For many years, I have consistently given the practice five-star reviews. However, my experience during this third course of treatment has been notably different. As the practice has grown, it feels as though the focus has shifted more toward financial considerations than patient care. I have experienced a lack of compassion and flexibility with appointments that was not present before, which has been both disappointing and frustrating.

We’ve had a stellar experience with DiCiccio Freeman Orthodontics for both of our kids. From the moment you walk in, the office is welcoming and engaging — they always have fun activities and fresh baked cookies for this kids! The staff is incredibly friendly, personable, and professional. They communicate every aspect of the treatment plan and progress clearly, so we always know exactly what’s happening and what to expect. Dr. Freeman has such a kind and fun approach with children. He connects with them so naturally while still providing expert-level oversight and care. Our kids genuinely enjoy going to their appointments — which says everything. We’re especially grateful for the new DentalMonitoring scan feature. As busy parents, being able to complete scans from home and avoid unnecessary in-office checkups is a game changer. It saves time away from work, reduces stress, and ensures we only come in when actual treatment adjustments are needed. What a blessing. We’re so thankful this practice continues to invest in advanced technology and staff training to make the experience even better for families.
