I had a very frustrating and confusing experience at Oceanfront Dentistry. I went in for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning, but was told they refused to provide a regular cleaning because I allegedly needed a “deep laser cleaning” that would cost around $500. They claimed that performing a normal cleaning instead would somehow be considered insurance fraud, which felt very misleading and didn’t make much sense. The whole situation felt like a push toward an expensive procedure that I wasn’t confident I actually needed. Wanting a second opinion, I visited RB Comprehensive Dentistry — and the difference was night and day. Dr. Ellorin and Stephanie were outstanding, extremely professional, and transparent. After a thorough exam, they confirmed that the costly $500 deep cleaning was completely unnecessary, and I received a normal cleaning without any issues. I left feeling relieved but also disappointed by my initial experience. I would strongly recommend being cautious and getting a second opinion if you are told you need expensive treatments right away. Save yourself the stress and consider going to RB Comprehensive Dentistry on Laskin Rd — you won’t regret it.
