Konikoff Family Dentistry - Brambleton

So I recently scheduled an appointment when I spoke to the person over the phone I was told my insurance was gonna be pre-authorized before I got there and we discussed my appointment when I got there. Everything was not done and had to be started from scratch I was there for 45 minutes waiting for everything to get sorted out when I finally went back. Everything changed from what our initial plan was the receptionist seemed to be combative before I even had an opportunity to ask any questions almost as if she was forcing her own perception of how I was going to react on me I’m not sure how long she’s been doing it or if she just thought I was going to be rude, but her reaction was not very kind and honestly I’ve only ever heard great things about this company and it completely turned me off getting your teeth cleaned. Should be something so easy and It turned into a rather un enjoyable experience if I ever go to another kind of cough, it will be a different location

After years of avoiding the dentist, my friend arranged my appointment here. TBH, I was really scared and nervous of what was to come. However, this turned out to be a very positive and best experience I've had, period. I can't espress strongly enough how every aspect of the visit was detailed and thorough, and focused on me. I genuinely can't express my appreciation of their teamwork. I feel privileged to have the chance to be a patient in their care.

I normally don’t leave reviews for Konikoff Dental on Brambleton in Norfolk—even though their staff is always nice and professional—but this time I just had to say something. Huge shoutout to the amazing team, and especially to Shomar! 🙌 Late Friday afternoon, I had a painful tooth issue, and I was dreading the idea of suffering through the weekend. But Shomar went above and beyond—she actually came into the office after hours to take care of it. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that. I am so sorry to have to give a poor review, when I joined this practice as a patient a year ago they were amazing. Unfortunately since that time the service has become appallingly bad. Getting a dental cleaning appointment has become difficult as they don’t have enough hygienists, They are unresponsive, have poor follow up and recently charged me just shy of $700 for new retainers and 6 weeks later still haven’t followed up. As a result of poor communication they failed to order a new crown which resulted in an 8 week delay. I recently had taken my older parents here because they had been so great and unfortunately every time they have gone in for a cleaning there seems to be a new $1000 treatment they need or teeth need to be pulled which is staggering as they have had excellent dental care and good oral hygiene their entire lives. Now I need to find a new dentist to re-evaluate my 80 year old parents to figure out what is really going on. I can’t speak to the quality of other offices, I have reached out to another office to help get to the bottom of my retainers but I would avoid the Brambleton office if you can.
