I highly recommend OrthoVirginia for their exceptional patient care and administrative integrity. I saw a PA who spent a dedicated amount of time with me during the appointment and didn’t rush me. Even though I had mistakenly sent a billing inquiry addressed to a different clinic, OrthoViginia actually looked into my billing ledger with their clinic and identified a substantial refund I was owed as a self-pay patient, which was a nice surprise. I called to request an itemized bill and the phone representative was polite and trained to be kind, which is rare comparing to other clinics I called. They provided the bill through a secure digital portal and even took the time to mail a physical copy to my home. I’m thankful for the level of respect for patient documentation, and for both clinical and post-appointment care.

Dr. Avery is AMAZING! I have fractured my pelvis and he spent a great deal of time with me answering questions, making sure my pain was well controlled n he gave very through discharge teaching about when to come back, what to watch for, and when to go to the ER. He is very personable with a top notch bedside manner. I was in and out in under two hours. Reception was kind. The tech/MA/nurse (don’t know her title) was rude, had no idea why I was there and then worked me up as a feturning patient when it was my first visit. I had my X-rays done at the ortho Virginia urgent care but told me I had to redo them because they were from and outside facility. The waiting room is clean, reception staff kind and accommodating. Wiggly recommend!

I’m so grateful for everyone at Ortho Virginia. It was the most pleasant experience you can have if you fracture your wrist like I did. 🥲 from the very beginning, they were so sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. I felt confident that I was in the best hands. Every single person, from the guy who took my vitals to Carlos who put on my cast, and the person who removed it were all so kind. A special shout out to Almas: PA, who kept my spirits up and had such a positive manner. I think it’s a major reason I healed beautifully in 5 weeks. Thank you!! Highly recommend.

Dr John McConnell rushed my appointment, it lasted less than 5 minutes. He failed to share any actual treatment options with me. Most of his energy was spent saying medical jargon for the nurse to take note of for insurance purposes. Didn’t look at me once in those 5 mins. He also assumed that I have no health insurance and failed to give me a MRI order until I asked for one. He also laughed and smirked when I asked a basic question about my level of pain. Kudos to the receptionist that didn’t seem surprised at all when I told her that I was treated very poorly by him.

Doctor and stuff gave me fully wrong information about possibilities of my insurance that brought me to court. do not recommend to anyone who relies on professional advice.
