Gentle Care Dentists

I had an excellent experience at Gentle Care Dentist. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff made me feel genuinely welcomed — not just “customer service welcomed,” but truly cared for as a patient. Ms. Carla, the doctor’s assistant, was incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. As someone who struggles with anxiety, her calm and reassuring demeanor made a huge difference for me. Just talking with her helped ease my nerves. Rebecca was equally amazing when explaining the financial side of everything. She was kind, patient, and made sure I understood all of my options without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The office is also in a great location. I arrived early on a Thursday and had no trouble finding parking, which made the visit even less stressful. It means so much when you come to a dental office and feel genuinely cared for. I truly appreciated the kindness, patience, and professionalism from everyone here. Highly recommend!

I won’t be going back here. The staff at this office are very unprofessional and the office is very poorly run & disorganized. It’s a mess. They are not on top of things and very rude. I’ve had to follow up 4-5x just to pay a bill that I AM trying to pay. The dentist’s are always running late and yet they make you feel like there doing a favor and never apologize. One of the dentists plays music extremely loud while taking care of you and he sings along. It’s just so unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs.

There are so many great dentists offices in the DMV, but not this one. Do not go here! -- 1. They have a terrible billing system. They will tell you they are in-network, but actually they aren't! Insurance will send you the checks and then office asks for those checks. Extremely antiquated system. I was sent so many checks I didn't know what was for what. It took months for them to send me a ledger. When I asked for an itemized billing, they just emailed me the payment portal. Finally, after receiving the ledger they told me I would be sent to medical collections if I didn't pay in 30 days. Mind you, I asked for the ledger in November and RECEIVED IT IN APRIL. I told them from the beginning "I want to pay y'all but I need a clear bill, not just a blank payment portal". Finally paid the bill so I am free from this dental office!!! 2. I suspect they use the wrong insurance codes to get more money. They pushed treatment onto me, that I had every other dentist disagree with. After the whole payment debacle, my insurance agent seemed so confused with how they are operating and suggested I submit a fraud complaint. Also spoke with my good friend who is a dentist, and she agreed with that there was something shady going on. 3. They scheduled me for an appointment and it took me 4 calls to cancel it. Each time they said "ok, it is cancelled". Customer service is nice and answers the phone kindly (thats what one star is for) - but there is just such poor management. It is incredibly difficult to remain nice and composed when there is just a complete lack of communication. And when the office manager calls, she is extremely dismissive and condescending.

I visited 3 different dental offices before landing on Gentle Care Dentists & I’m not going anywhere else. These dentists are fantastic! I had some pretty severe oral issues (i.e., extraction, braces, cleanings) & their dentists have been helpful every step of the way. The other dentist offices made appointments seem miserable; these guys make me look forward to them! The receptionists are so sweet and patient, which makes every visit enjoyable. Lastly, the price is very reasonable for those that are wondering. I 100% recommend visiting Gentle Care Dentists - they’re honestly the best!

During my last appointment, I confirmed multiple times that the procedure would be covered by my insurance and that I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. Immediately after the procedure, I was handed a $140+ bill. When I asked why, I was given new information that had never been mentioned beforehand. The staff proceeded to act like I was at fault me despite my repeated efforts to confirm that there would be no out-of-pocket cost.
