Ballston Dental Care

Update July 15, 2026 During my visit earlier this week I experienced the same high-quality care at Ballston Dental Care. Registered Dental Hygienist Danielle and Dr. Matney were courteous, helpful, and careful during my exam and cleaning. Scheduling has been easy, and the office is close to the Ballston Metro station for bus and train access. These are pretty good signs that the practice is being operated under very high standards of dental hygiene and patient care. Earlier post: I came to Dr Matney’s office in search of a restorative dentist whose office was relatively easy to get to from my home using public transportation. The experience has been very good. His staff have been helpful and supportive, his hygienists have been especially effective, and Dr. Matney himself has been a very positive and helpful provider. I regret not remembering the name of the hygienist who treated me earlier this week; she was amazing . . . such an improvement over the hygienists I recently saw. For instance, during the process of cleaning my teeth, she made a point of making sure that suction was doing its job, so that I never thought I was about to drown or gag. This was so unlike my experience with the dental hygienist at the practice I went to earlier this year. Also, over the past decade or so I’ve sensed a trend where hygienists want to tell me what I’m doing wrong with the care of my teeth and gums. That didn’t happen this time, and I greatly appreciate it. I learned how to focus on my dental care, and left the office knowing more about how to better manage my dental health. My takeaway is that I’ve found a skilled dentist who operates a high quality dental practice. Works for me, thank you.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Dr. Matney and the entire staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and accommodating. Their attention to detail really stood out—they took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. The office runs efficiently, and everyone genuinely cares about providing outstanding patient care. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a knowledgeable doctor and a friendly, professional team.

A very pleasant visit today with Ballston Dental. Danielle was super efficient, ready with great tips, and truly solicitous in her care. I felt (as I always do at BDC) that my dental health was priority number one.

This was one of the most thorough teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. The dental assistant did an amazing job and took her time to explain to me my images, x-rays and scans. The dentist took his time with me and made sure all of my questions were answered. No wait when I arrived on time. I would definitely recommend.
