Stonehaven Dental & Orthodontics - Waco

From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. Immaculate and well laid out facility. Amazing staff with the most wonderful courtesies. Brandi was beyond impressive! I’ve never had Dental X-rays go so smoothly and quickly. Then she walked me through everything that was going to happen and how we would proceed…the hygienist came in and that was equally impressive. Dr. Town wrapped it up with a full checkup and discussion about what needed done. He was down to earth and detailed. We all chatted as if we knew each other. This is THE BEST Dental office I’ve even been to!

I am sharing my experience with Stone Haven Orthodontics in Waco so others fully understand what they may encounter. I paid in full for orthodontic treatment with the expectation that my care would be completed appropriately and professionally. The results were not what I anticipated, and the orthodontist who originally treated me has since left the practice. I was then informed that if I wanted to complete treatment with a new orthodontist, I would be required to pay additional fees. Being asked to pay again after already paying in full — due to provider turnover that was completely outside of my control — was extremely disappointing. Patients should not bear the financial consequences of staffing changes within a practice. There was also a gap in my care due to a legitimate health illness, along with the limited availability of the orthodontist, who was only present once or twice a month. When I attempted to explain these circumstances, I did not feel they were met with understanding or empathy. When I tried to escalate my concerns, the office manager informed me she was the only person who would be speaking with me. I requested contact information for someone above her and was not provided with it. I was also told that the owner would not have time between patients to speak with me. That interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand that unexpected situations and provider transitions can occur. However, professional communication, accountability, and patient-centered problem solving should remain the standard regardless of internal staffing changes. In my experience, that standard was not upheld. Throughout this process, I did not feel that my concerns were handled in a collaborative, solution-focused, or patient-centered manner. Orthodontic treatment requires significant trust, time, and financial commitment. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this office to read all contracts very carefully, ask detailed questions about financial responsibility if a provider leaves, and clarify how unresolved treatment concerns are handled. Make sure you fully understand what you are agreeing to and what protections you have as a patient before signing anything. Patients deserve accountability, transparency, and empathy — especially when complications arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would not have chosen this office had I known how situations like this are handled.

Came here for a V.A. Referral. This has got to be the best place I’ve been ever. The staff are extremely welcoming and humble. We somehow got to talking about food and I left with some homemade egg rolls from their work potluck..(I didn’t ask for them, they offered) I’ll definitely be looking to make this my new home spot for dental work

I want to start by saying that the dental side of Stonehaven Dental has been fine, but the orthodontic side is a complete disaster. I had minor orthodontic needs—a small gap between my front teeth and slight straightening. I expressed several times that I was open to either traditional braces or Invisalign, but the orthodontist at the time insisted that Invisalign should fix my problem. I immediately had trouble wearing the aligners due to a strong gag reflex. Despite following instructions as best I could, there was little improvement, and the gap kept returning. When it came time to complete treatment, the original orthodontist was no longer at the office. The new orthodontist informed me that Invisalign could not fix the issue and that I would need traditional braces—at additional cost—even though I had already paid for treatment that should have corrected the problem. I had my attachments removed and left the office extremely frustrated. To make matters worse, my daughter is now experiencing similar issues with her treatment at this office. This shows a concerning pattern of poor communication, lack of proper care, and inconsistency between providers. If you are considering orthodontic treatment here, do not rely on this office for anything beyond general dental care. The orthodontic side has been a nightmare from start to finish. Please, please read your paperwork carefully before signing anything.

This was my 1st time going toStonehaven Dental & Orthodontics - Waco! Receptionist greeted me with an warm and friendly smile and very professional, the lady who assisted the doctor who performed the work on my mouth went above and beyond to make me comfortable, she made sure I was ok and even listened to me telling her about my pain, she offered me a snack and water, because I was feeling nauseous. I do apologize for not remembering her name. The doctor very friendly and greeted me with a friendly hand shake and very professional and explained to me what he was doing every step of the way. I was definitely comfortable being there and I will recommend my family and friends to seek their services.
