Lake Shore Dental

Great staff and service. Lake Shore Dental is a great place for us nervous Nellies. I had a bad dental experience prior to coming to Lake Shore and already deal with anxiety when going to any doctor appt. I’ve been to Lake Shore 3 times now in the past year and each time has been good. I’ve had Mary, Cassidy and Amy as assistants and have see Dr. Halfmann. Each of them have been very friendly and helped me feel comfortable. I think what I appreciate the most is how communicative everyone is. The patient care here is amazing and I feel like I’m being taken care of and I’m not just a dollar sign. No one has ever shamed me for my teeth and Cassidy was especially helpful with information/educating without shaming. Check them out if you’re looking for a new dentist!

The people were incredibly nice when I had my appointment, but tried to charge me multiple hundreds of bucks for a cleaning which should be free. I emailed and sent written complaints, got no response, I finally had to file a BBB complaint because I kept getting collection notices. They didn’t respond to the intial BBB complaint but finally responded when the BBB sent a second request. Without getting into the nitty gritty, they state it wasn’t their fault, which I obviously disagree with, but they eventually kindly agreed to waive the charges. So, I am solely giving them a lower rating based on lack of communication and action POST office visit.

Cathy, the dental hygienist, is great to work with and she did an excellent job. Everything explained fully. Dr Matthew went over all the results with me carefully and they gave me a map of my teeth, costs of procedures needed, how much insurance would pay and how much I would pay. They took pictures of my teeth to show me exactly what was going on. I highly recommend them!

Thank you so much for making me feel comfortable. Also in my 66 yrs this was the best dental exam I've ever had. And I've had quite a few. I feel I came to the right place to get care. Thank you so much. I needed a good Doctor visit. Tanna Hightower
