Texas Orthodontics

I got my ortho treatment done here years ago and it was a horrible experience. Most of the staff is nice and friendly, which I think is because they're students and are learning but the main orthodontist DR HURST was rude and unprofessional. He would say rude comments directed at me (a 15 year old at the time, what am I supposed to tell this old man?) but talking to the student working on me and he would yell at them with a room full of patients. They forced me to finish my treatment early because THEY did not tell me I needed to get some teeth removed after the fact that I had my braces on for almost 2 years. They just wanted a short cut to the money that's all they care about. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND... BANDERA ORTHODONTICS IS HEAVEN! I had to go to bandera ortho now as an adult because Texas ortho didn't do their job.

I scheduled a consult with this practice after a word of mouth referral from a close friend. They only had openings in the morning, so I scheduled the time off work and took my daughter out of school. I drove approximately 25 miles to their location, and as I was pulling into the parking lot - 15 minutes ahead of my scheduled appointment time - the practice called to cancel my appointment. Apparently, they only have one employee who handles new patients, and she had just called out. When I entered the office to obtain a school excuse (my daughter had still missed part of school, regardless of the cancellation) I questioned about how a practice could function with only one employee to accept new patients and mentioned how upsetting this was, as well as what a horrible first impression it made. The clerk at the front desk kindly informed me that “it isn’t [her] fault,” and went back to typing. As a blended family with 6 children needing orthodontic work in the near future, I had hoped Texas Orthodontics would be our home. Unfortunately their unreliability has led me to question the quality of their care. We will not be rescheduling and will be taking our children elsewhere.

Texas Orthodontics has been treating me for 9 months and have provided excellent care. They are always on time, I have made 3 same-day appointments to resolve moving wires that were completely expected, and they are always friendly. I would highly recommend them for orthodontic needs!

Honestly, I am so impressed and so thankful that I came across Dr.H and his wonderful staff. I came in so nervous and scared and left feeling so much better. Sherry is so knowledgeable and so friendly. They helped me with a ton of things and went above and beyond to help me out with my treatment plan. You will not be disappointed. I never write reviews!!! I am happy with this place. I had several consultations with Invisalign providers and after my third or fourth visit in treatment, I can say I choose the right place. Staff is great & friendly. Location is convenient for me. I would recommend this to anyone looking to impiove their smile 😆
