I’m sharing this to document a frustrating experience centered on communication and scheduling, not clinical care. My initial Invisalign consultation in December went very well. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional, and the doctor was the one I felt most confident with out of several consultations. The treatment plan was explained clearly, and at that point I fully intended to move forward. I explained upfront that I would be using employer-provided FSA funds with a hard annual cap and asked reasonable questions about cost structure and treatment timelines based on prior Invisalign experience. I was told the pricing was firm, which I accepted. As part of moving forward, I was asked to obtain a release from my prior and other orthodontic providers I had quotes from before proceeding. I completed that step in good faith after deciding on this office but before making a down payment, which meant I had already turned down other providers. Issues began once scheduling started. I was told I had an appointment scheduled to get started, then later informed it had been booked incorrectly. I was promised a callback to clarify next steps, which never happened. After following up myself, I was rescheduled for a scan and planned to make my down payment. During that conversation, I asked a normal process question about why there would be a four-week delay between the scan and reviewing the ClinCheck, since that was longer than my prior experience. Later the same day, I received a voicemail declining my case entirely due to “fit” and “timeline expectations,” without any direct conversation or explanation. I returned the call promptly and politely and followed up again in email to clarify, but never received a response. Because this extended into the new year and ended abruptly without communication, I am now left with unused FSA funds that I had specifically set aside for this treatment and had to restart the process elsewhere. I respect a practice’s right to choose its patients, but the contrast between the strong initial consultation and the lack of follow-up afterward was disappointing. If you choose this office, I would strongly recommend confirming timelines, appointment types, and next steps in writing.
