Castle Dental & Orthodontics - Leander, TX

After our dental insurance changed, both my teen daughter and I felt pretty anxious about having to switch dentists. My daughter is the kind of kiddo who gets extra wiggly in the dental chair, not because she’s difficult, but because she’s genuinely nervous something is going to hurt. Finding a dental team that understands that kind of fear matters more than people realize. From the moment we walked into Castle Dental in Leander, we knew this experience was going to be different. Meeting Kierra and experiencing her kindness and calming spirit was such a gift. I had the chance to speak with her the most during our visit, and what stood out to me was not just what she does for a living, but who she is as a person. We connected through our faith, and her light, kindness, and genuine heart made me feel so welcomed and at ease. Then came Jurni, absolutely the bubbliest personality, contagious laugh, and such a positive, welcoming presence. She made my daughter feel comfortable during X-rays and before the dental work even began, breaking down layer after layer of fear without even trying. And then there was Maryann “Dr. Abdul-Moheeth,” who was truly the icing on the cake, without the calories or the sugar damage 😂 She has such a warm personality and an incredible way of educating teens in a way they’ll actually listen to and engage with because let’s be honest, moms don’t always make the cut at this age. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back because of the building, the brand, or the location. I’ll be back because of the amazing humans and kind souls who genuinely invested in both my daughter and me during our visit. We need more people like this in the world!

Dr Maryam is amazing! She makes you feel comfortable and heard. Wonderful communication and really takes the time with you. This isn’t her only place, so she’s not in the Leander office a lot, but when she is that’s who I see.

I had a great experience here for my first dental examination visit. Starting from the front desk, assistant and the doctor were very thorough in their job and friendly as well.

I really wanted to like this place. Instead of calling to cancel an appointment when the assistant didn’t show up I arrived for my appointment and they told me I couldn’t have my appointment because the assistant didn’t show. That’s fine- things happen- so I rescheduled. I received a call to change my appointment again so I canceled. Won’t be going here unfortunately. Front desk is sweet but the schedules changing is quite frustrating, I imagine it is out of their hands at the front so I’m definitely not complaining about that part of the practice.

If I could give zero stars I would. I scheduled appointments for my children and paid for their 1 year family plan. The morning of the appointment (about an hour before we were supposed to be there), they told me they didn't have enough appointments on the book so they had to cancel me because the dentist didn't want to come in for such few appointments. I was annoyed but rescheduled. When I came in (after receiving my confirmation message and reminder) for the rescheduled appointment, the following week, I showed up at 9:00 for my appointment and the door was locked. I called, and received a call back an hour later saying that I was the first appointment and was supposed to be there at 10 (instead of 9 - which my confirmation message said). Frustrated, I came back... had the appointment and everything was "fine" for cleanings. THEN, I went ahead and scheduled for their next 6 month appointment. A couple days before, I received my reminder and confirmed my appointment through text, and then showed up for my 9:00 am appointment that I pulled kids out of school for and took off work for. When I got there, the front desk woman said, we aren't open (closed for "restructuring")... we open again in a month "I'm here to meet the AC guy." I was furious, showed my confirmation text that I had gotten and verified a few days prior and she was confused. I said, forget it - just refund me for the unused membership that I paid for and I'm never coming back. So far... I'm getting the run around and haven't been refunded anything for my full year that I paid for. To add icing on the cake, I found out later they "accidently" doule charged me for my two kids instead of adding them into the family membership I selected. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said I wasn't allowed to and that she couldn't give me contact info for. Terrible organization. Terrible management. Terrible billing. What a disaster this place is. STAY FAR AWAY!
