Mejia-Maidl Orthodontics

I chose this location because of the positive reviews but had a horrible experience. I bought my daughter (age 6) in due to crowding teeth which required an expander. Due to discomfort I returned to have the device removed. Dr.Mejia offered another option by Invisalign. She stated its new technology and little more expensive but easier for the kids to use. She said she wouldn't charge me for the imaging but they did anyway. After a week my daughter was unable to adapt. Dr.Mejia said its OK. We can revisit this when she is older. My complaints are 1. Why wasn't this option presented to me during the initial consultation? Don't assume I want the cheapest option, I want the treatment that is less invasive for my child. And 2. After several visits, taking my daughter out of school early for appointments, the travel and having to leave work to spend $1800 all for nothing. At our last visit Dr. Mejia says, "someone will contact you in a week about your refund. 3 weeks pass so I call the office and speak to the office manager Laura. She informs me no refund will be provided. Not even half. Not even credit for future services. Absolutely nothing. They are all about money, not the best interest of your child. Dr. Mejia tells you one thing but then its the opposite. Tells you what you want to hear but once your out of her office, Laura will handle business and deny any refunds. Trying to be transparent but clearly misleading. Very dishonest to have me expecting a refund knowing she wasn't going to do so all along. Save your time any money and consider going elsewhere.

My son has had his braces for almost 4 1/2 years, and my husband kept asking Dr. Mejia, how much longer her response was two more months he is not ready.......... Last month in June the office told my husband that we needed to pay for the scan, removal of the braces and the retainers. My son was seen without insurance for 2 years and when I asked how and why he was still being seen. The office stated that the insurance had paid for the entire process. Yet here we are in July 2026 and I'm going to pay almost 700.00 for the removal of the braces, scan and retainers. I found this paper and I called the insurance and they said I need to file a complaint with customer service because it had been approved. If you find yourself in my shoes please give a review and call your insurance and always ask for documentation of all the procedures they do to your child

All her staff and Dr Mejia are excellent. They always take the time to explain and go over any questions or concerns I might have. I totally recommend them.

My son has been going here for 7 months now. We come every month and every appointment you have to wait over an hour PAST your appointment time just to be seen. Its ridiculous. Appointments start at 7:30 but the doctor doesnt start seeing anyone till afyer 8:30. There are several kids that go here. They dont offer school friendly hours. And the wires and brackets that are used break alot... my son had to transfer to this clinic after we moved and had already had braces for 7 months prior his brackets and wires never broke. Our original ortho also said only 16 months were now at 14 months and no where in sight to get these off. He not showing as much of a difference in his mouth as our previous ortho...

Excellent Dr. & Staff , kind efficient and always get back to you asap. Dr. Mejia very patient , she answers concerns, guides you through entire process. Highly recommend!
