Highland Park Orthodontics

I am submitting this review based on my personal experience with Highland Park Orthodontics and orthodontist Nadia Lyotard. This review is intended to present a factual timeline of events rather than emotional commentary, so that readers may draw their own conclusions. January 22, 2026 (approximately) I attended an initial consultation with Nadia Lyotard at Highland Park Orthodontics. During the consultation, she examined me and retained the dental records that I provided. At the conclusion of the appointment, she advised me that I needed to see a periodontist before she would continue with orthodontic treatment. February 5, 2026 (approximately) I was evaluated by a periodontist. Following the examination, I was informed that my gums were healthy and that I could proceed with orthodontic treatment. February 19, 2026 I informed Nadia Lyotard that the periodontist had cleared me to move forward with treatment. She then told me that her office needed to send its own paperwork to the periodontist for verification. According to her office, this paperwork was faxed on or about March 9, 2026. Nadia Lyotard stated that she would contact me once the completed fax was returned. After several weeks passed without any communication, I contacted Highland Park Orthodontics and spoke with an employee identified to me as "Sandra." She told me that Nadia Lyotard would call me when she had time. Approximately three months later, I received a call from the periodontist's office requesting an update. During that conversation, I learned that the response to Nadia Lyotard's fax had reportedly been returned to her office on March 9, 2026, more than three months earlier. I was also informed that the periodontist's office manager had confirmed receipt of the returned fax with "Sandra" by telephone on that same date. July 13, 2026 On the evening before I became aware of the returned fax, Nadia Lyotard called me after business hours from a phone number that appeared to me to be spam or unidentified. During that conversation, she adamantly stated that the periodontist's office had never responded to the fax and that she and her office had done everything they were supposed to do. The following day, I contacted the periodontist's office and obtained a copy of the fax response that, according to their records, had been sent to Nadia Lyotard's office on March 9, 2026. The periodontist's office also informed me that it had confirmed receipt of the fax with Nadia Lyotard's office by telephone on that same day. Based on the records I obtained and the information provided to me by the periodontist's office, I concluded that the statements made to me by Nadia Lyotard regarding the status of the fax were false based on the documentation and information I received. After I became aware of these records, I did not receive any further communication from Nadia Lyotard. Approximately three days later, I received a telephone call from an individual identified as "Mitch," whom I believe to be Nadia Lyotard's husband. During that call, I was informed that “Dr.” Nadia Lyotard would not be taking the case and the circumstances were left as mentioned above. An experience....

We visited three orthodontic clinics before choosing this one for our son. Some offices felt more interested in sales than actual care, but this place felt honest from the start. The orthodontist explained costs clearly and didn’t recommend unnecessary extras. The waiting room can get crowded after school hours, though appointments themselves usually move quickly. Dr. Nadia and her team's kindness, willingness to help, and outstanding patient care are truly commendable. It's rare to find such a combination of top-notch treatment and personalized service. You will definitely have a problem if you come here — there’s no way to avoid the fact that Dr. Lyotard cares too much. Turning 50 and finally ready to address long-standing dental issues from childhood that were causing new problems, I knew my situation would be complicated and fairly unique. Not only did Dr. Lyotard say that challenging cases excite her, but she also spent an incredible amount of time upfront making sure I was comfortable with the plan — even presenting two different options for me to choose from. And boy, has this been even more complicated than we expected! Dr. Lyotard has been patient and thorough every step of the way, explaining what she thought was the best option each time something came up while continuing to offer alternatives so that I always felt heard and in control. If you think you might have a complicated situation — 100% you need to visit Highland Park Orthodontics. And if you’re a simple case, everything will be a breeze with the great staff.

Dr. Lyotard and her staff are very professional and friendly. They make you feel so welcome and relaxed. The office is very comfortable. I have enjoyed every visit. I was lucky to find them. I could not be happier about the end result.
