Austin Orthodontics: Seth R Briggs DDS

Dr. Briggs and his staff were so lovely and accommodating to a specific need of mine. I had jaw surgery earlier this year and both my surgeon and orthodontist for the surgical process are out of state. I currently have Invisalign with some attachments for rubberbands to help finalize my bite, and one of my attachments came off a month before I was scheduled to travel back to my orthodontist for my next appointment. I called Dr. Briggs’ office and they very graciously and quickly got an appointment scheduled to rebond my missing attachment - at no cost to me! I’m so grateful for their kindness and generosity.

Dr. Briggs and the entire team are truly exceptional! From the moment you walk in, you’re met with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. Dr. Briggs is an absolute magician with a great heart — always one step ahead in the game and consistently delivering outstanding orthodontic results. What makes the experience even more remarkable is how Dr. Briggs takes the time to connect,despite a busy schedule and remembers personal details about his patients. That level of attention and genuine connection is just out-of-this-world. The precision, expertise, and compassion shown throughout the entire process are unmatched. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and the incredible transformation. Highly recommend Dr. Briggs and the team to anyone seeking top-tier orthodontic care!

Dr. Briggs will do an excellent job at straightening your smile! He clearly knows what he is doing. However, I would not recommend the business to POC. During my treatment, the orthodontist Briggs made comments that felt inappropriate and judgmental. On one visit, he asked if I was “okay” and probing questions in response to Black Lives Matter news, which felt out of place and uncomfortable in a medical setting. I was just a barely legal human being who just so happens to be of African ancestry that was asked to be a spokesperson for an entire group of people or answer whatever questions he was having about his own racial comfort at the time. On another occasion, he made a remark about my parent driving me to appointments (I was like 18/19) that came across as classist and dismissive. Not everyone has an orthodontist as a father who can afford a car and driving lessons for you at 16. While the clinical work was adequate, these interactions affected my sense of respect for him and overall recommendation. I would have preferred a more neutral, patient-focused environment. I really would not recommend this establishment for POC to bring their children or any POC really. But great dental work if thats all you care about.

I am an oral surgeon and have had the opportunity to work with countless dentists and dental specialists over the past 20+ years. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Seth Briggs and his staff at Austin Orthodontics. Honestly, it was a bit by chance that my daughter’s orthodontic care was transferred to Dr. Briggs when we moved from out of state a few years ago, but he managed and completed her care with great results. He has since treated my son with expansion as we continue to monitor his development, and we believe in Dr. Briggs so much that even my wife is in treatment to address issues from previous orthodontic care. Aside from the confidence that I have in Dr. Brigg’s professional skills and acumen, his chair side manner, personality and demeanor make it clear that he really cares. One of the highest compliments is when colleagues entrust you with their care and that of their family. So, if it is any indication just how well thought of Dr. Briggs is as an orthodontist and a person, I know of several other dental professionals that put their families’ orthodontic care in the hands of Dr. Briggs and his fantastic staff.

Dr. Briggs is great! The staff is kind and knowledgeable. Appointments are always on time. I love the at home monitor system! I have had issues with brackets causing ulcerations and the team came up with real workable solutions to make my mouth more comfortable. I appreciate this team and would highly recommend this office for your orthodontic needs!
