Dr. Kun is AMAZING!! Highly recommend and he squeezed me in when I told him an issue idea having that was actually an infection and had no idea! He is so caring and listens and a wonderful and highly skilled dentist.

UPDATE 7/17/26: While I did eventually experience significant pain relief after over 1 year in treatment (and after I requested a T-scan), unfortunately over the last 2-3 months new symptoms are emerging and old ones returning, including new pain, so I have decided to pursue another holistic TMJ specialist in Delaware who is certified in Disclusion Time Reduction therapy. I am very grateful for everything I have learned through my journey and experience here, but I do NOT want Invisalign or to have my teeth capped to see if that helps, so I have found another provider who is able to offer more advanced, comprehensive care and a different approach at nearly half the cost!! (**Highly recommend following Dr. Priya Mistry on social media for educational info!!) UPDATE 11/25/25: If I had known years ago what I know now, I would have started TMJ treatment then. I have learned so much this past year. Shaydia was great with MyoFunctional therapy! I'm not where I want to be yet, but I am slowly making progress. 4/24/25: I sought treatment from Dr. Kun and his team due to chronic TMJ issues, and I am thrilled with my experience!! The entire team is incredible… super kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. Very welcoming. I have been very impressed with the technology they have and how well everyone works together. I have a regular dentist and see a periodontist, and both of them recommended Botox for my pain and severe muscle tension. I’m only 39 but have suffered from worsening jaw issues for over a decade. After doing some extensive reading, online searching, and hearing from other experienced professionals, I found enough evidence to convince me that Botox was NOT a solution for my problem—just a bandaid that I wasn’t willing to try. (There are studies indicating it can lead to bone loss in the jaw as well as contribute to toxin overload for more stressed and sensitive individuals. Botox is not risk free despite how common it seems to be now.) I learned that the periodontitis I developed almost a decade ago is a form of “occlusal disease” from clenching, and my jaw and tongue have shifted over the years. I’ve used a traditional upper mouth guard from my dentist for over 6 years to protect my teeth, but my jaw issues have worsened and it has interfered with my proper tongue position and breathing at night. I knew none of this before seeking proper TMJ treatment and it has been such an empowering experience. I’ve worked primarily with Alison so far and she is absolutely FANTASTIC!! Very thorough extensive testing and I just received my first TMJ orthotic yesterday (see pics). It’s much more sleek and streamlined than my previous night guard, and it looks a little scary with the metal but it’s actually quite comfortable! I feel so hopeful and excited for this healing journey! They also offer myofunctional therapy to address the tongue/oral posture/muscle issues and help ensure I am on the right track for full recovery and long term maintenance. Yes it is expensive and mostly out of pocket for me, but I have been so miserable and suffering for years! (They did provide me a printout and pricing outline for everything so I knew what to expect up front. They submitted claims to my dental and health insurance to try for coverage, but my plans denied the requests.) Fortunately my jaw never locked on me, but the pain is so unbearable some days I don’t even want to eat, talking is exhausting, and the headaches can be debilitating. It’s pretty much guaranteed that if you don’t seek to understand WHY your body is sending you these signs and symptoms, and then actually treat the underlying problem/dysfunction, it will continue to get progressively worse until the damage is too severe for this treatment to work. I am extremely pleased with my experiences at Dr. Kun’s offices (both Whitehall & Mertztown) and definitely recommend that anyone with any jaw/TMJ issues at least get the evaluation and testing to see where you’re at. I’ve learned so much through this process and it’s been totally worth it for me!

Never afraid of going to this dental office. Everyone is friendly and professional. Have been seen by Dr Kun since I moved back to this area 15 years ago. I highly recommend this dentist and staff.

I’m a fairly new patient of Dr. Kun’s having moved into the area a couple of years ago. He and his whole staff are true professionals delivering the best service I could ask for. I highly recommend him.

Such a wonderfully pleasant experience, going to the dentist isn't the greatest thing in the world...but all the smiling faces, and kind words made it really pleasant.
