Melinda Harr Dental

Carly was my hygienist today and she was so kind and caring! I have a fear of the dentist and hadn't been there for 3 years but decided I needed to start taking better care of my teeth and she made me feel so welcome! She spent extra time with me to make sure I was able to get my cleaning done today and she walked through every step, answered my questions, and was courteous the entire time. She was very thorough and even took xrays after cleaning to make sure she got all the calculus from between my teeth. I've been going through a hard time which had led to me going 3 years without a cleaning and I shared that with her and she was so kind and told me multiple times how proud she was of me for coming in and that meant a lot to me. Thank you Carly for making my experience at Melinda Harr Dental great!

I have always loved Dr. Harr's office. They are always so accommodating, friendly and efficient. I've tried different dentist across the area and I keep coming back to Dr. Harr. We love her as our family dentist!

I said I wouldn't leave a review years ago when I went to this dental practice, but there are too many 5 star reviews for my belief. Now I feel compelled to write a review. This dental practice was the worst I'd ever been to. My hygienist was the one highlight. She seemed thorough. I had x-rays and then got to re-take the panoramic x-ray 'cause one tooth seemed cloudy to the dentist. No one had ever made me do that twice. And then the dentist felt she found 3 things wrong (cavities). I hadn't had any problems noted by my other recent dentists (I had moved recently and one of those dentists--who I'd been with for ages--had retired). Suddenly, doing all that I normally do for my teeth, I have 3 cavities? I should have gone for a second opinion, but I thought hey, we graduated from the same college (bachelor's degrees) and were both summa cum laude. She must be decent. It makes me ill to think about my thought process in that moment. The dental work was uncomfortable with too many people around me and my mouth at one time. She seemed to be operating on me in an operating room instead of a dentist office. Why so many people? One filling she did never felt good, and she tried to blame it on something I did. Nope. She had to redo it. It still felt awful, even after waiting for it to "calm down". One tooth had to keep having the filling filed down so it would stop catching floss so badly. I returned to my car to see what was wrong with my mouth after a filling that had required the removal of a previous filling resulted in an uncomfortable grainy sensation. The mirror showed a mouth full of dark speckles. YUCK! They didn't check if it was okay; they didn't offer to rinse my mouth. Heck, the dentist was already gone. I'd had 5 other dentists in my life before that point, and none of them had ever done any of those things. My previous dentists also did the injections themselves instead of leaving someone less experienced to do them. Not here. (The young lady did alright though.) And now I've had 2 dentists since (both women) and they were better than this one. If that wasn't enough, the front desk was the cattiest bunch I'd ever met. Not every one of them, one was particularly bad, but as a whole they were a group I wasn't interested in working with anymore. This practice seemed to me to be greedy and the work poorly executed (except my cleaning). Treating the dentist office like an OR doesn't work. Why did I agree to have the 3 fillings over two appointments? I will wonder that to my grave. I think I just couldn't believe how bad it was. I had never known any dental practice like it.

I am a new patient and am very happy with the experience at Harr Dental. I have an extreme fear of the dentist and have avoided going for many years. I broke a tooth in November and suffered with the pain until June. They were able to fit me in quickly and everything was explained in detail, including my options and payments with my insurance. The atmosphere was very welcoming. All the staff were very friendly and put me at ease. I was very satisfied with the experience and happy that I finally went in.

Love their staff!! Everyone is so friendly and you can get in fairly quick! Their office is so clean and Dr Malinda Harr is great!
